I've used this every weekend since I received it. All cooks have been excellent, LOTS of room for wood chips to get that flavor on the meat. This weekend did a pork butt and was able to keep the temp at 275 +/- 4 degrees. Yes, it works that well. Clean up now takes minutes. Did my research, made the right choice. Biggest thing for me is that I can get it settled down, then leave for an hour or two, come back, temp is still good. Can't go wrong with that. I know that I'll never make great BBQ since I can't stand by the fire box the whole time tending the flame, but with this unit, I've already dialed in to make some very, very good BBQ. No going back to my WSM.

I upgraded to this smoker from an Electric Masterbuilt smoker. I wanted something bigger and with combustible fuel. The size of this unit is fantastic, no issues with space or rack sizing, and the overall set-up is nice, especially with the double doors. However I am disappointed that the self igniter button quit working after the second time, I needed to add rope gasket around the doors to seal it off better (lots of smoke leaked out of door jambs). And I can't seem to get the chips to last longer than 45-55 minutes once they start to produce smoke. Even on the lowest setting, with soaking chips for over 30 minutes. Nice having the second door to add more chips without losing heat in the smoke box, but it takes a good 30-45 minutes for chips to make smoke, so on long cooks (brisket, pork shoulders) have too much time early in the cook with no smoke. The chip trays warped after first use. Packaging was good, unit arrived on-time, and in tact. Overall, it gets the job done, but could be much better, wouldn't recommend it.

My very first smoker. Thanksgiving I smoked a 16 lbs turkey using plum wood, the smoker did an outstanding job, got rave reviews with respect to flavor and succulence.
Unpacking and assembling took about 90 minutes. As many have mentioned the door leaks heat and smoke so I took the precaution of sealing the door. After assembly I removed the door and applied a bead of silicone around the door and let dry to provide a a much needed door seal. I do recommend burning in the unit prior to cooking anything. I also recommend a dual remote electronic thermometer to monitor the meat and smoker temp rather than rely on the door mounted thermometer. Wheels would be a plus the thing weighs 90 or so pounds. In my humble opinion, it's a great unit for the DIY backyard chef.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aragorn771 Excellent for the Price Point
Looking for smokers can be ridiculous. All the different types and sizes. I chose this one based on the amount of space it takes up but still gives great room inside. I am very happy with my choice. The wood trays over the burners work perfectly for getting the cabinet full of smoke quick. Really enjoying this unit. There is one problem. They did not seal the cabinet doors with a heat gasket. This allows smoke and heat to escape out the doors. It's far from a major problem. Picking up some nomex tape should cure it.This isn't a $1,000 plus smoker. It's certainly far better than it's price tag though! If you're looking to save space and yet still do some real smoking, I recommend this one.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kenny Works great but leaks smoke.
I bought this model to upgrade from my previous smoker which was half the size. Now I can put a brisket in without cutting it in half. The cabinet and other materials are sturdy, but the door doesn't seal well. That didn't bother me. As with most smokers, use a better thermometer to monitor the temp. I also found that the burners don't turn down as low as I would like if it is a hot day. But, you can turn the burner knobs beyond the low mark toward off and lower the flame even more. I've been very sucessful so far with pork spareribs and beef tri-tip. Overall a good purchase for me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 87Knight This product is well built and has plenty of cooking space.
The construction is solid. Assembly is easy. There are some cooking accessories that aren't necessary and take up space. The cooking grates allow for different foods to grill and smoke without skewers such as scallops, shrimp and vegetables. The smoking trays are smaller than I like for slow smoking with chunks. Chips are fine but they don't last long. The smoking trays are easily accessible via a separate door. As with any vertical smoker, drippings from marinades are a challenge. The dual burners provide ample heat quickly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Outstanding smoker
I researched smokers on line for sometime before I selected the Smoke Hollow smoker. This one has dual burners and wood chip trays with multiple racks. I used the provided receipt for smoking my first turkey and could not be happier. This smoker is priced right and offers easy assembly and construction that should last me a long time. I would recommend this smoker to anyone who enjoys smoking foods. This is just plain fun to use.I love to taunt my neighbors with the wonderful smells emmeting from the patio

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by papa very easy go put together. very good quality for the prices. am extremely happy with thevperformance.
I have used smokers costing thousands of dollars and I found that this unit smokes just as well. It holds a constant temperature even outside in the rain. The capacity is outstanding for a home unit, a whole brisket, 4 slabs of spareribs, 5 whole chickens and 12 pounds of sausage, and I still had room. The directions recommend 2 people to put it together, but one can do it, it just takes a bit longer. Unit is Heavy, so I added a wheeled frame for ease of movement.
