Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GreenAcresNV I spent the Best Part of two weeks researching Smokers.(11 total).
I looked at Smokers from $149 to $2,500. I purchased the
Smoky Mountain model #3895GWLA, I found it to be the best value for the money. When I received the unit there was some damage done in shipping. The Assembly and Owner's Manual said to contact them before calling The Home Depot. So I called the Landmann-USA,Inc.
about the damage, they rolled out the Red Carpet and shipped my replacement parts immediately. I was also was having a problem in getting the right cover for my Smoky Mountain unit. They had the best cover, again for the money. In my opinion this product was built to last for many years of use! I have already in the first week of use Smoked Salmon, Pork Chops, Chicken Breast and Beef Jerky and they all came out Great!

Get ready for fun and delicious 'que. After only a month, we've had great success with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chickens, and turkey breast and cannot wait for meatloaf and Thanksgiving turkey. This model isn't likely to handle cold smoking cheese without jumping through hoops, so we're ordering a cold, tube smoker to provide the smoke for the cheese we've bought. There's a bit of smoke lost through joints on the Landmann, but it does a very good job. Suggest purchasing a separate dual, digital thermometer because the one on the door doesn't read correctly. Overall, great purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JBBS Great size for all my smoking needs
Fully loaded I could smoke 15 pork butts at one time if I wanted....never had "too much" room in a smoker though. Meat hooks are a plus. Cabinet is not insulated but holds heat pretty well and the door has a better seal than I expected. Burner BTUs are more than adequate for my needs. Only nit is that I wish the burner temperature knob had finer control as it tends to stick a little.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mikesr Poor Craftsmanship, especially for the price
Smoker was easy to assy, has lot's of internal space, multiple racks and plent of room
really like the 2 drawer option for adding water, and chips
after assy main door would not stay closed on it's own
literally would not shut, stayed open about 6 inches, and wouldn't close
it has 2 magnetic door latches, that would not even engage, I even took them apart and tried to adjust them to get them to give the attachement needed to keep the door closed
drawers do not fit tightly and close well
Drawer and Door Handles are cheap, and flimsy I guess expected more for an almost $400 unit
I fixed these issues by adding a few positive door latches, 2 to the main door, and 2 to each of the drawers, to gain positive closure, so for an additional $20 eveything now closes the way it should have to begin with
I also added 1/4" high temp kevlar gasket rope material around the perimeter of the main door, and the 2 drawers to seal it up better, another $15
poor workmanship in building, but over all it will do the job now after I tweaked it, looking forward to many, many, nice smoky treats from my venison and beef now
made in China, so I guess enough said

This is a great smoker. It produces smoke at about 175 degrees which is lower than most other smokers. This is great for me because I smoke a lot of cheese. I have had this smoker three weeks and have smoked a whole rib eye, 50 some pork tender loins and 40 pounds of cheese.
