If you can work an extension cord than you can work this machine. Has a lot of power, that you provide. a 15 or preferably a 20 amp circuit will do...with nothing else on it....you will need a 20 amp circuit for a 100 foot cord.....just went through a 30 inch blizzard and 2 major storms in the last month....i went out to late during the blizzard, so did not work to well, but the other 2 storms, it was great. And were talking alot of snow . 30 plus inches, not counting the blizzard. Yes the Boston area. I feel like I live in Alaska...If you have a extention cord long enough....buy bit. I love being able to press a button an bingo to the snow.Jimmy.

Excellent. The Joe Snow blower came 99% sample in a box. You have only to adjust the handle and the lever. Otherwise, just press the button and easy to start the snow blower. We had a major snow storm 2-3 feet in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. A little Joe snow blower done a great job. We clean one foot of snow first day, and second foot of snow next day. We have three car garage and very big driveway and we clean it in 40 min. It was very heavy and wet snow. Snow was weight tons. We couldn't never complete this project without Snow JoeUltra 18 in. 13.5 Amp Electric Snow Blower. I am highly recommended this product.

Good basic snow thrower for the person who wants to get the job done and go! Very easy to put together and very easy to run. Does a great job handling the snow-even the berm at the end of the drive. Small size is great for me. Even taking small bites of the drifts I was done in @ 15-20 minutes-usually took me an hour with shovel. I like that it is electric and I don't have to fool with the gas and oil.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stan This is a gem
My wife felt sorry for me after watching me clearing our driveway and my elderly parent's driveway with a shovel the previous season and bought this for me. The description boasts compact wheels for easy maneuverability. I find them to be a hindrance once a small clump of snow sticks to them. The rest of the description is accurate. Aside from this, I think this snow blower is a GEM. It is easy to use, and has done a fantastic job on all the snow that has been thrown at it for the last three years. So far, I have put well over 80 hours of use into mine. Neighbors with larger, gas powered snow blowers have even been surprised at it's performance. I would purchase this again when this one wears out, and recommend it for others that want performance on a budget.

We had about a foot of heavy wet spring snow this week. The snowblower made clearing sidewalks much much easier that with a shovel.

I bought this after a big storm in December, 2015 and have used it twice since then. It was easy to assemble. This is a small machine, but I have found it is entirely sufficient for my residential needs. I have a double wide driveway and sidewalks to clear. This snowblower cut the time it takes me to clear everything at least in half. It works in up to about 8 inches of snow. Using an extension cord is no more inconvenient than using an electric weed whacker. I like not having to deal with gas an oil.

This snow blower could barely handle 4-6 inches of snow. The directional didn't work well unless you had it pointed straight ahead and the machine only through snow in a forward direction. I read other reviews that said this was a good machine, but from my experience it's only slightly better than a shovel.
