I'm looking for a small snow blower electric with plastic blades. I have a good size deck with railing's and it's hard for me to lift the snow over the railing. I don't want steel blades because I think it will tear up my deck floor.

Answer:
This is excellent - lightweight worked even on the wet heavy snow we got. Small enough to move easily. The blades are not plastic but there is a heavy rubber scrapper on the bottom so you won't scratch your deck.

I have now used this snow blower in two fairly significant snowfalls (about 9-10" each) in southeast Wisconsin, and it has performed beautifully. We have a decent sized driveway (about 60' long, two cars wide near the garage, tapering down to 1 car width), and this little machine handled it no problem. There was a bit of a learning curve at first, getting a feel for maneuvering the snow blower without running over the cord with every turn, but it didn't take long to get into a good groove with it. I love not having to worry about running out of gas, and I also love how lightweight it is, which makes it very easy to maneuver. So far, so good - I would definitely recommend this snowblower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Boise Boise doesn't really get enough snow to justify the purchase of a big gas snow thrower. But I am 60 and shoveling snow is no fun any more. I also have a large driveway and two office building that I have to clear. So I bought one on close out at the end of last year. This year, we have had quite a bit of snow and man am I glad I bought the Snow Joe. We have had storms of up to 8 inches and the Snow Joe has handled them perfectly. I can get the driveway done in less than half the time with much less work. It easily throws snow 10 feet and cleans right down to the pavement. I am telling all my neighbors to buy one. The handle folds so it will fit easily in the back of my Toyota Highlander. I can pick it up with one hand. And it starts with the punch of a button. No pulling a rope and hoping it starts. The power cord can be difficult to deal with, as with any corded power tool. And it may not be the best for heavy or deep snow. But for home use, I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be Happier Just got this baby last month, I have a wrap-around driveway and my son left for college this year. Just finished blowing a foot of snow, and other than the birth of my children this may be the happiest day of my life! Getting used to the cord takes a little while, but this is my third time using this blower and I've gotten a pretty good rhythm with it. The reason I went with an electric blower is because I didn't want to get dumped on like we did today and not have my blower start. I have a 100ft cord that's more than enough for my extended driveway. Just unwind, plug in, and away you go. You will not be disappointed, this baby will more than pay for itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need something in place of a shovel, this is it! I shopped quite a bit, looking at all the models available, of course I also looked at Lowe's, but nothing comparable to this unit. I decided on the 15 amp simply to get as much power as possible. I have blown two times with it, and simply like very much. I'm simply too old and lame to shovel snow. Here in Maine, we usually get a fair amount of snow, but this year is a little lean. Easy to handle, even my petite wife can use it. Not a mistake, and we also bought the cover for this machine, a wise buy as it keeps the weather off it, and the sun as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good light weight Snowblower - at a great price. Got the blower on a Deal of the Day - for a great price. Cleaned driveway of 10"+ snow drift with little effort. I have the unit hooked up to a 15 amp circuit and occasionally blow the breaker(they recommend 20 amp circuit). My existing power cables work just fine. I store the unit I my garage by hanging it on the wall (see photo) doable because of the light weight. Good small blower, even in Buffalo area where we have gotten 94" as of Feb.!
