Answer:
No. I believe a 1 inch minimum is required. 1 1/4 or 1 3/8 inch is the standard mounting hole size for most faucets. Even though soap dispensers are almost always a smaller diameter shank they still require at least a 1 inch hole and even then you have no wiggle room. This is why most counter companies will drill 1 1/4 or 1 3/8 inch holes in granite for everything.

Answer:
No, you need at least a 1" hole. You would need to get a diamond core bit(diamond hole saw) to drill it a bigger size. Best left to a granite counter company as it will take you at least an hour with that bit in a drill but them it would take about 5 min with a commercial grade bit mounted on a grinder. Just pay them the $50 or so to drill it.

No, like most dispensers it requires at least a 1" hole. You'll have to call a granite counter company to drill it bigger. It will take them about 5 minutes to do with their commercial grade diamond bit.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kohler soap dispenser easiest installation ever; works great; holds large volume liquid soap; dispenses easily; great product from Kohler. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High Quality The soap dispenser that our builder installed had cheap plastic parts. Two of them stopped pumping in two years. This one just feels more substantial and does a better job dispensing soap. It matches my faucet perfectly. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by soap dispenser Nice dispenser a little pricey but it matched our faucet and there really wern't any others to choose from. The only down side is the soap comes out a little globs. It is a good product for the price. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Soap Dispenser The dispenser works well. The amount of soap that is released with each pump is very small so I have to pump it several times to get the proper amount. It is heavy duty, so, I expect it to last a long time. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No more soap bottles on the counter I installed mine in a granite countertop but the designers had the standard stainless steel sinks in mind (you know the ones with the extra holes). Great design that looks like it belongs right where I put it. At first I was a little bummed that I would have to get down under the sink to refill the bottle but the designers didn't want to do that either. The whole top lifts up off the base and you can refill it without getting on your knees. Easy installation (I had my hole drilled into the granite by the installers, and wouldn't recommend anything else). February 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Choice Easy to install. Perfect match to our new kitchen faucet. Perfect choice! February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Two locks I bought two identically keyed locks and had two additional keys made at Home Depot. Easy process. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quality, great price This dispenser from Kohler is one that the Home Depot stores usually stock. There are other brands that are available but are of lesser quality/less stylish like the Danco ones. Anyway, the Kohler brand rarely disappoints in general and this dispenser is made of brass and is easy to install. It has just the right amount of style to go with many different designs of faucet and is pleasant to look at. January 2, 2016
