These blackout curtains are amazing. Hung them in front of the vertical blinds at the sliding glass door in my kitchen. The average temperature in the kitchen is now 10 degrees higher than before, which is a godsend in the cold month of January. Am also enjoying the privacy they provide. Just bought more of these to use in the bathrooms and bedrooms. Will cut the lengths to the appropriate sizes. Love that they come with the hooks, and can be also used with a rod through the pocket. Well made and very easy to hang. Highly recommend these blackout curtains! Best purchase I have made in a long time!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BA I returned this item
I realized that I needed a curtain shorter and wider. I had the right dimensions, just wrong direction. The curtain panel made the room seemed brighter but functioned as it should have, to block outside light from the room. Too bad I had the wrong dimensions for this particular window. This would have been a great deal, and just what I was looking for.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEVERLY I returned it due to it's size that did not cover the width of my window
Panels were fashionable and attractive. They were thick but not cumbersome. The two panels made the room appear bright inside but totally blocked the light that should have streamed through the window. I am so ditzy though. I had the correct measurements, just in the wrong direction, so I had to return. I needed panels wider and not as long :) I wish they would've worked out because the package was what I wanted

Works great at blocking the eastern sun out of my bedroom. Thanks to it my room is now the coolest in the house.
I hung them on a second bar, below the nice curtains. But it come with drapery hooks incase you want to attach them to existing drapes.

I spent countless days online looking for the best blackout liner I could find. These are not only just what I hoped for, but the least expensive. It was worth every hour I put in. I had the best sleep, no waking at daybreak, and the dogs were fooled as well. I put the liners up with rings with clips and then put a panel of drape on each side to hide the blackout liner during the day. This is the only liner that has velcro to secure the individual panels to each other so no light creeps in. It works. The fabric is substantial and attractive, but not too heavy. I am impressed by how well they are finished. Even the packaging was impressive with the little packet of hooks tucked away inside. There is no odor as some people complained about and because they were packaged so well, once up they hang beautifully without wrinkles. I put another pair up in the guest room, also hidden under drapery during the day, and they are equally as wonderful. Some reviews complained about the width not being exact or the liner not long enough: If you want to ensure there is no light creeping out of the sides, splurge and get an extra set. The length is perfect for its purpose as it is not supposed to be used as a finished drape. It is probably about a foot off the ground when hung as high to the ceiling as possible.

Curtains do a good job of blocking out light when properly assembled. Fairly stiff and require room to pull back.\ when not in use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kstat Huge decrease in temp
I purchased 4 sets of these and they have significantly decreased the temperature upstairs. The velcro is handy to use in the room we don't use very often, but for the bedroom I just overlap the panels so the velcro won't stick together so I can open them easily in the morning.
