Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not waste your money Garbage do not buy. Bought two last year in January. One died a week after the warranty was up. The other was in storage never been used until the first one crapped out. It died today They are very pretty and heat well but are garbage when it comes to quality February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This Product is great but only last 2 years This is my second set of these heaters. It works great when it worked. Quiet, efficent, no smell after the first few times of use, small compact and great heat output. The only problem is that they only last 2 years. They give no warning they just give a soft pop and die. I use it every night in a bedroom from late fall to early spring. They went within weeks of each other. So it wasnt just a faulty one I had. I tried other heaters but none match up to these. So i'm hopeing that I get a few more years out of this pair than I did the last set. October 11, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I purchased this as a gift to my parents for their anniversary. They wanted one to put in the den area. They were very disappointed at the heat that it put out. They plugged it in left it on all night and it was not very warm. They said the small space heater they had actually put out more heat than this Flat Panel Heater. There is also a smell my Mom complained about that was suppose to go away after a couple of days but it did not. It was very disappointing. My parents are going to trade it in for a kerosene heater instead. December 11, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by last one on the shelf I bought the last one on the shelf. It worked for two years and then I had an electrical spike and it fried the control panel. When I called them I was told it would not be cost effective to buy parts since it was past warranty. Just throw it away. I plugged in my Dr. Heater and it fried too. I called them and for $15 I was able to receive the main board and I was back in business again. I also replaced the outlet that I used to a GFCI. February 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good use; pleased; surprised Purchased three. One for each house level. Used only for the coldest season. Re-boxed to store. the next use season found one of the three, noisy and crackling with spark sounds. Called the company. They would not the replace the noisy one because I had purchased it past the warranty limit even though it had not been used consistently. reluctant to purchase another but the other two continue to serve well. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not suit my needs. This was bought to add extra heat to a front room that also includes an enclosed insulated porch, quite a large space. The heat produced did not in any help heat the space. The heat blew up and even on high was not adequate. For a small room it might work very well. The remote control worked well, as well as the timer. the panels on the side produced little heat. I returned it after a month, only because it did not meet my needs. November 12, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money I am a 56 year old General Contractor and am familiar with many different heating products and I feel this one is a waste of money. The Flat Panel Micathermic Heater (at a cost of $96.51, inc. tax & del) actually cost me $14.00 more (for 31 days of use & same average temperature), than using 2 small ($15.00) resistance heaters. Being very careful to provide a fair analysis, I started using this heater in January o8 for 31 days and my electrical usage cost was $132.00, and the average temperature for January was 42 degrees. The previous month, December 07, also 31 days, I used two small resistance heaters, one at each end of my 36 ft. Airstream Travel trailer. The average temperature for Trinidad, California just happened to be the same 42 degrees for the month of December. However, my electrical usage cost was $118.00 for December, a difference of $14.00 less for the 2 heaters. Fair and Honest, FLMFMC February 1, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will Purchase Again! Bought this heater in 2006 and it just went out and I'm going to purchase another one. Got good use out of it. Love the quietness. Carried it from home to office. We used this heater instead of turning on our central heating system and it cut down on utility costs during the winter season. November 14, 2013
