Pleased with the looks of this item. Looks good in a nook of my kitchen, as opposed to a dresser in the bedroom. I am considering ordering a like dresser to go in a bedroom. I would prefer an oak look finish but love the chocolate.

Small drawers. Came in with cracks. Drawer doesn't fit. Super hard to assemble.

Great product! We are using it in our nursery as a dresser and changing table. Perfect height, very sturdy product. Only took 2 hours to complete with two people.

I absolutely love the way this dresser looks. The drawers do have those plastic sliders, but they work better than any I've had before - very smooth. The chocolate color is pretty dark, but it goes well with my Espresso nightstands.
There are a few cons: The directions for assembly aren't very good and it does take quite a while to assemble. It also scratches very easily. There were about 4-5 scratches just from installation. A touch-up pen is included, which worked well for most of the scratches. I think I'm going to get a piece of glass for the top to avoid more scratches in the future.
Overall, the quality is about what I'd expect of a particleboard dresser in this price range. It is very sturdy, holds clothes, and looks nice - does the job in my eyes. Perfect start-up furniture.

The price was great. The shipping was on-time. On the negative side, this furniture is strictly good enough "for now" and not something close to passing along to another generation. There were 3 missing parts that halted completion and had to be ordered. The CS department was excellent. The instructions were not the easiest to follow (unlike the bed's better instructions, this had only drawings) and after some thought, instruction # 14 and # 15 were out of order. However, with some patience and thought, we managed to complete it, after the missing hardware came in. There were many (black) edges that needed to colored in with the black marker they included.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mellyodie Actually quite pleased with this one
There is no doubt about it, this dresser is a beast to put together but it is worth the investment in time and difficulty in translating the wordless pictures into an assembled piece. And it is definitely a two man job until you get the frame together, after that it's just time consuming with all the drawer assembly. I used gorilla glue at the seams for the drawer bases to give them a bit more weight bearing potential. The dresser fully constructed is sturdy. I'd say the finish is good but my dresser came with quite a few nicks and scratches that had to be colored in with the touch-up pen, which also means it does scratch fairly easily. The brushed metal knobs are very nice. All in all a good piece of furniture for the price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by samy Looks nothing like the photo
This dresser looks nothing like it does in the photo. It's so much darker - definitely not what I expected. And South Shore is incredibly difficult to deal with on the phone.

When it was delivered home, it was all cracked and some pieces were missing. Also it says its wood but no, its composed wood.. which breaks easily...
