Customer Questions & Answers

What is the best time of year to plant these?

Asked by: Beth
Shrubs and trees are ideally planted in Spring or Fall while temperatures are mild so the plants have an opportunity to adjust to their new environment before the more extreme temperatures of winter and summer.

Can u do reguvenation in the summer

Asked by: ddk53
A heavy/rejuvenation pruning should usually be planned for after your plant produces spring blooms. Doing so in the mid to late spring will allow your plants to recover before the harsh conditions of summer.

What does it mean when brown spots are on the leaves?

Asked by: HUIS1943
Excessive water sitting on the leaves for prolonged periods of time a variety can cause problems that cause brown spots. Try watering just the base/roots of the plant and trimming of any areas with brown spots and it should help clear up your bush

Massey lawn & shrub service started maintaining my shrubs 3 mos ago. Now my indian hawthorn are dieing

First they told me they were planted wrong & the root ball was not split when planted. MI Homes planted these plants 11 years ago and they have been fine till now. Then the manager came out and said they have a short life expectancy and this is why they died. The leaves are brown and curled. Do you have any idea what is killing my shrubs?
Asked by: barb
I am sorry, but without a photograph of your plants I can not diagnose your plant. You might try getting another opinion from another local landscape professional.
