How do you push 14/2 electrical wire through this conduit? The farther you push it through, the harder it becomes due to friction. Is there any easier way?
Asked by: Aaron
I used a flexible metal snake and pulled the wire through. I was running three 10 gauge wires taped together. With a friend feeding the wire in and me pulling the snake it went quite well.

How does this compare in usage/application to the Carlan Liquidtite products which are much more expensive? Is it not as water tight in buried situations? Do they offer junction, wall and service entry boxes to complete the system? What is the typical mode for connecting the flex conduit to boxes - must ine use metal boxes that have threaded outlets/inlets? Thanks!
Asked by: Ed
Both products are designed for the same applications (type LFNC-B) and are made to the same UL standard (UL 1660). It should be just as watertight. Keep in mind most leaks occur at connections. Southwire does not make boxes.

Is this UV resistant?
Asked by: Janice5y
Yes. Please see attached link for a spec sheet on this product from southwire.com. http://www.southwire.com/ProductCatalog/XTEInterfaceServlet?contentKey=prodcatsheetOEM141 The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). Free access to the latest version of the NEC is available online at www.nfpa.org/freeaccess. The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. Check your local building codes before you start any wiring and cable electrical project and be sure to obtain required permits. When your work is complete, always have it inspected for compliance with local codes to ensure that it has been safely installed.
