Answer:
I am pretty sure Cat 6 should be 250mhz; not to be confused with 6A which is about 550mhz.

Answer:
Definitely not.
You need CAT6 suitable for Direct Burial. This type of cable exists. Google "infinite cables", they sell what you're looking for at a reasonable price for good quality.

Answer:
Yes, this item can be run underground but would need a weatherproof conduit such as metal or PVC tubing to protect from the elements.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The pull box makes installation easy! My home network is humming along on CAT6 which is faster and more secure than wireless. I ran two cables per drop which can be used for data and phone. Coupled with a patch panel, I can make changes just by plugging in. Cutting over from my old phone wiring to the new wiring took less than 10 minutes and the computers worked trouble free. Since it is residential, I wired to the T568A standard. I actually got higher Internet speed than I had before since I eliminated most of the phone company mess. January 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CATEGORY 6 RISER 23-4 Great Cat6 cable hi-speed great quality would buy again December 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Comparable value to similar products sold online. I wouldn't wire my data center with it, but it will do the job around the house. October 13, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by General Cable much better quality Home Depot used to sell General Cable then went to Southwire, which I guess was probably do to pricing so they can gouge the consumer for a few extra pennies per box? As a master electrician who has run many thousands of feet of networking cable, I prefer General Cable over Southwire, Better jacket, easier to pull, and less kinks and other headaches. July 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not much better than Cat5e This cable is very thin, jacket tears easy and tangles in conduit. There is no center core to separate twisted pair as every other CAT6 cable I have ever used had. I am a telecom design engineer and I work with this type of cable all the time. I tested the cable and it will not preform per CAT6 1g standards past 50ft which is shorter than standard. I will have to note that I do have 6 AC lines I run parallel for about 17ft that I could not avoid. I do not recommend this product but if you choose to use it try to limit its use to lower data transfer locations that you do not intend to send large files. January 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Only 250 mbps transfer speed The data transfer speed is not specified for this product. I purchased it, installed to 6 future TVs (long runs) in my basement with the intent on sending HDMI over Cat6 using baluns. AV guy then told me the wire 'didn't look correct'. When I examined the writing on the wire, it turns out this product is specified to transfer 250mbps whereas high quality CAT6 will transfer 600mbps. It's a good wire for the price, depending on what you need it for. I ended up getting better quality CAT6 (600mbps) for my long-run HDMI over CAT6 and used this 'slower' CAT6 (250mbps) to hardwire for SmartTV functions June 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Do not buy this wire. This is not CAT6. It has no centre insulator to prevent electronic chatter between conductor pairs. I would give it no stars, but 1 star is as low as it goes. My fault for not doing my homework and being more careful when selecting wire for my home network. Probably makes OK phone wire, but that's about it. March 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not cat6 This is not cat6. It's very shoddy cat5e. Don't buy this. January 21, 2016
