The package instructions say to keep pets away until after it dries, which it does pretty quickly. But I don't recommend this product because it didn't get rid of ants for me.

According to the label - yes. I have dogs and a cat so I am always careful with this type of product. As with any product like this you should spray it when pets are not around and won't be around until it dries. Once it dries its safe for pets.

Hi, Joe. Sure, you can use Spectracide Bug Stop Home Barrier if you have a dog. Remove your pet from the treatment area while you're spraying and while the spray is drying. Once the spray has dried, your dog can re-enter the treatment area as usual.

You can transfer the chemical to a number of spray devices such as a universal spray bottle (be sure to label the bottle) or a pump style garden sprayer. I chose the later because my hand was getting tired of squeezing the sprayer.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sprayer is pathetic Warning! I've used Sprectracide for years and love the insecticide. Bought this container and expected the same reliable product. Sprayer broke in my hand within the first five trigger pulls. Luckily I had an empty 2gal pump sprayer handy. So after I thoroughly washed the 3ozs of chemical off my hand, I transferred the contents and finished spraying my garage. September 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by When Ortho is Out of Stock This insect control doesn't leave an order and stain. I can be use for indoors and outdoors. When I was sweeping the sidewalk, I scraped an area with a bunch of ants. I sprayed the area six times and wait. Few ants were still moving and I sprayed another six times. I sprayed the line of the sidewalk. I checked the next day, no more ants and it didn't leave a stain on the sidewalk. September 13, 2016
