Answer:
Spectracide Ant Shield Insect Killer Aerosol is ok to use on your wood floors. It's also ok to spray if you have pets; just remove them from the area while you treat and don't let them back in until the spray has dried completely.

Answer:
Hi dmcristi,
Almost all insect killer sprays won't damage wood floors, unless you leave it on there without removing it for a long time.
However, the best spray to use for insects and safe for pets is one that says so on the container.
One we carry in some stores is linked below:

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Short term killer The spray works great to kill the ants that are immediately on the surface. However, they just keep returning afterward. I have sprayed the same surfaces at least ten times, heavily, and they still return. Do not buy this unless you want a short term solution. March 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Forget this stuff, buy a roach killer Should've bought something else. Thought the price was good but, if it doesn't work like it should them it's just money thrown away. September 18, 2013
