Customer Questions & Answers

Will the spray reach 27 ft if you are spraying at a 90 degree angle, almost straight up? Thank you.

That is my only questions
Asked by: BBQBOY
Nowhere near that far. Expect it to fall back on you if spraying up.

I have a new lawn and have yellow jackts invading it. If I spray with wasp killer, will it kill my lawn where I spray?

Asked by: Muffie
You need to watch where they are coming out of the lawn and look for a small ( couple inches) cleared spot with a nice round hole the size of your index finger that is the entrance to their nest. There will be constant activity there. Spectracide ( surprise - this one actually works!) makes a Carpenter Bee - Ground Nesting Wasp foaming spray that actually does what it says it does! Wait until a cool, dark evening when the activity has slowed down and follow the instructions - including filling in the hole after a day or so. It has a residual effect that will kill any returning wasps as well.

can this be used over a swimming pool to keep wasps away?

Asked by: Ofelia
I would spray around the pool not in it and then yes it will work.

can this wasp spray be used on energized electrical circuits

Asked by: Anonymous
No idea, however, there is a different product that states it is ok to use on electrical components. This product didn't state it was safe to do so, so I'd be safe and assume it is not safe.

20 oz. Wasp and Hornet Aerosol Spray Killer is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 161.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buzz off! The wasps and hornets in our area are very aggressive. They love to drink from our pool and will sting immediately when they are disturbed. This spray is great. The range is terrific, just beware of the wind if you want to reach the full documented distance. My only complaint is that the distance is not consistent once the can gets below half-full. I would like to see it continue to have full pressure until completely spent. That said, just plan to start with the longest distance nests to take advantage of the full strength shooting!

This stuff is very slow acting. When I am trying to get rid of a nest of wasp the last thing I want is mad half dead wasp flying around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute failure My wife purchased this yesterday at HD. Nice spray, foam covers nest and wasps. Cons: we sprayed several nests on our property and noticed many wasps were able to fly away after being covered with spray. We came back later only to find all the nests covered in wasps again so we sprayed again. Some wasp do die slowly but most do not. Came back again next day and every nest still had wasps so I sprayed one last time, then physically had to knock the nest down with wasps still flying around. We emptied the full can on about 5 nests and never killed all the wasps. I have used wasp sprays all my life and have never seen such dismal performance, will never buy this again and sadly, now I'm leary of any Spectracide products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only leaving a review so someone doesn't get hurt If you were thinking about using this to ambush a nest, you could find yourself in a very bad situation. This wasp spray only kind of works. If you only have one or two wasps, then fine, this spray may work. But for me one would die and the other would shake off the foam and fly away. Every other wasp spray I have used kills on contact. This one does not. So be warned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 50/50 killed or alive This was a dissapointment because many of the wasp weren't killed. Some cases it worked but it was hit or miss and i got stung 2 times because of this poor product. When sprayed this covered the wasp like a foam. I've used other products that when sprayed the wasp died upon contact but not this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from False advertising Doesn't spray past 10' and this spray does not kill the wasps or nest. They all fly off and then hang around the area until the poison dries.
