I have an import piece of furniture that had signs of powder post beetles. IS this effective on powder post beetles?
Asked by: Frustrated
This can comes w/ a very small straw, so u can squirt the stuff into small places, but I don't know about furniture. A friend w/ termites or bugs in a wood frame put drops of alcohol in the tiny holes and killed the bugs that way. I know that the bugs can't survive moth balls which are really toxic to people and pets, and I have had termites in cupboards more than once, so I put several bags of moth balls in the cupboard, and tape up the doors so the fumes can't escape. I use the blue painters tape that is easy to take off after several months and the chemical moth balls have all disintegrated. This has worked well. If doing a smaller pc. of furniture, I'd load it up w/ moth balls, wrap it well w/ plastic, so the fumes can't escape and put it in the garage or shed or anyplace away from your living space. Give it 2 or 3 months to work and it should be just as effective on any bug. NOthing can survive moth balls.

I have used this product for about a decade for local subterranean and dry wood termite infestations and have had great success in controlling and eradicating their nests. Needless to say I am a big fan of this product since it has saved me a great deal of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Termite Murder I am a valid purchaser of the TERMINATE 16 OZ. TERMITE KILLING FOAM (Tampa, FL 33615) and have bought several cans, ok 6 so far. I have an infestation going on with droppings and swarmers. They seem to be along one of my outside walls and are now enjoying my new bamboo flooring, oh h*ll no. This stuff works great and love the foam. I like most others cannot afford to tent our houses so with that being said. A dead termite is a good thing. I have declared WAR on these pesky buggers. Just bought a thermal camera so I can see into the walls and a borescope. Let the games begin!

Since the first time the product resolve instantly. I waited one week and used again at the same place just for reworked but with one application function. I was using it in concrete under an Italian tile. No more evidence of termite. And yes, termites usually work in concrete too.

I've used the much more expensive foam that worked much better, in that it will spread out more as a foam between the walls. I don't know yet how effective the spectracide is at killing the bugs, but the expensive stuff works really well, so I'll probably order a case of it online.

It killed the bees in the nests as well as a number that came back to the nests over a two day period. The only downside is it took a while to locate the product because its use against carpenter bees is noted in small print at the top.

I used it on several pieces of bamboo furniture, a while later heard small explosions coming from inside the bamboo, so I researched and found that termites when threaten with death commit suicide. It should be rename as the EXTERMINATOR.
