Can two be purchased and make this a double door?

Can two be purchased and make this a double door?
Asked by: William
Both sides 'faces' are identical. I'd say yes. I think the challenge would be sure to get the tracks lined up.

Door opening

My door opening is 36 1/2 inches. Will this door still work for me. Do they make a folding door that is 36 1/2 inches wide?
Asked by: MDG
I see the 36" worked for you. Do you think it would still close with a 37 1/2" opening? I didn't know if the frame was included in the width. Thank you!

How can the door panel(s) be removed to reduce the width of the door?

Asked by: Sakeb
You can remove panels by removing the hinge screws at the top and the bottom of the door. The smaller panels at each end of the door cannot be removed. If you remove the smaller panels the door will not fold correctly.

I have an arched door opening from the master bedroom to master bath. The opening is 581/2" wide and 79" high, can I use two doors to fill the opening

Asked by: Doglegs
The opening must NOT be curved. Two doors may be used, but the height of the doors will have to be cut down from 80 inches. It can be done with time and care.

I don't think it would stand up to rough handling. If they're old enough to comprehend 'gentle, no slamming' it would be fine. It looks great and separates my bathroom basins from the shower/tub area which is the reason for the purchase. It takes a tiny wiggle to get both magnets, top and bottom, to click. Having said that, I would definitely purchase it again.

Clearly plastic to the touch, but double wall so its substantial enough. If you plan to use two doors to cover wide opening, be aware that there will be a crack at meeting point.....I have not found a great solution..... can tie ribbon from the two door handles. There was a small defect (hole) in one of the doors.... too much of a hassle to return.

I purchased and installed the Encore Vinyl Accordion Door in a doorway to a utility closet where I have installed a laundry center. The installation replaced a 6 year old Vinyl Accordion Door that had started to rip. The door "latch" on the new model is accomplished be means of a press fit between the leading edge of the door and a vertical "jam" mounted on the door jam. It works, sort of, but not nearly as well as the previous models magnetic attraction "latch". The new Accordion Door, therefor, doesn't stay closed as well as the older one. The door has a sound deadening property and looks nice. It opens and closes smoothly and easily by virtue of the plastic "channel" one mounts at the top of the opening and from which the Accordion Door hangs. I gave this one 4 stars because the magnetic "latch" that worked so well on the older installation is missing on the new installation, an important omission from an otherwise excellent product.

Since the door is meant to fit an opening from 24" to 36", it would have been nice for the panels to not be so wide. To close the door more, I really needed to be able to remove only 3" from the width. If I had removed a panel then the door wouldn't have closed so I had to settle for the way it closes now.

It was fairly easy to install even though I had to cut it down to 74". The hardware was hard to find. I thought it was missing. Step 1 of the instructions is in Spanish, even in the English version.
