We bought this door to block off our kitchen. We wanted to keep heat from the rest of the house and block our dogs from going out there while we are cooking. Works great for both of these things. The color also matches the kitchen very well.
Installation was quick and easy. We only needed to trim the top rail to 32" to fit the doorway.
These are my points to consider:
1. I researched this door on HomeDepot.com before going to the store to buy. The PDF installation manual and video online mention magnetic striker plates for closure. Our door has a small plastic piece that snaps into the track to hold the door closed. I'd feel better with the two magnets as described in the PDF.
2. Why is the door handle placed so high? It's almost as if the entire door is upside-down. I imagine that is so the people who need to trim the length of the panels don't end up with a handle that is too low. I'd have rather used a template to drill our own holes for the handle so it'd be at an appropriate height. I'm short so I really don't like the handle placement.
Overall we are very happy with this door for our needs.

I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE FOUND SOMETHING IN REAL WOOD NOT THIS CHEAP LOOKING PLASTIC/VINYL. I WOULD HAVE BEEN WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR SOMETHING MORE SUBSTANTIAL IE (WOOD). I COULD NOT FIND ANY OF YOUR DOOR'S THAT HAD ANY TYPE OF LOCKING MECHANISM AT ALL, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DEFINITE BONUS.

I have purchased two of these originally. The installation was not hard. The problem was that one of the original pair started coming apart shortly after use. I figured maybe there was just a bad one. I purchased another one to replace the defective one and installed it. Now the second one from the original pair is starting to come apart at the seem connecting two of the panels. I guess I will look into wooden ones connected with metal next. I was hoping to not have to spend so much.

Got this in store yesterday and was impressed. The doors for half the price are flimsy thin plastic like paper but this one was more solid with solid, hard slats. Assembly took about 2 hours and you will either need a drill to drill the holes for the screws or you will be stuck hammering in nails and then pulling them out again to make your pilot holes. But it went up pretty easy (it is a 2 person job) and looks great. And better yet it works great. The magnets that hold it closed are strong enough to stop my cats from pushing (jumping, scratching, etc.) and opening it. I love how it just collapses to one side without having a door that requires room to swing open. I am planning on getting another one of these for my laundry room. My boiler is in that room and so heat gets caught in there but I can't let the cats in as I am worried they will hurt themselves on the boiler, hot water heater, hole in the wall for the dryer vent, etc. So since this isn't a full door there is room above and below for the air to escape and help heat my home. Great product and totally worth the cost. The only draw backs are it does smell like plastic (but not enough to stink up your home), it does look like a what it is (its not some fancy real wood slat door), and the instructions are a little confusion (like how you need to use the closure slip to mark the holes for the channel clips that the anchor panel snap onto, just make sure not to attach the closure strip there as it gets attached to the other side of the door, the opening side and you are only using it to make measurments).

This accordion door is thicker than one's from other business'. This is the reason this second one was ordered again through Home Depot

This is the second time I have used these doors in my home. The first is used as an closet doors and the second time is used as an door for my sun room. They were easy to install, blocks out light, and is attractive. I would recommend these doors anyone who is on an budget but needs some doors that are sturdy, but attractive.
