Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Quality, Good Price I recently took over caring for a small business network. The previous employee did not mark/label any of the wires for phone or internet. This became a big problem when a faulty wire took down half of the network. I found the bad wire by trial and error but told the boss a tracker should be purchased for future needs. After searching for something that was not outrageously expensive I decided on this one. The ding on the quality rating is because it is tough to get the tone generator out of the slot and the back cover seems to pinch the leads when in use (not enough to make a big deal out of). Once I received it I traced and labeled the entire building with ease. This tool was a lifesaver! September 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent!!! My husband and I had been having a electrical wiring issue for a couple of weeks, and after tearing into a almost all of the wiring in our house to find the problem... to no avail. I stumbled across this wire tracer & we went right out and bought it, not but 30 minutes later we found the problem with this little device!!! We were so pleased with our purchase best $40 spent! Worked perfectly through the floor and walls great tool to add to the collection! January 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by a real time saver I bought this tester to find why a 120v receptacle no longer worked. With this connected to the wires, I was able to trace the loose connection to another receptacle that had been covered over by paneling on the wall behind this receptacle. Customer had lived in the house for 4 years and did not know the hidden receptacle existed. Now they have two more working receptacles. Best tool I've bought lately November 15, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by If you're a professional, do NOT buy this toner set! I install fire alarm systems, and my old Ideal toner set was misplaced on a jobsite while out of town. Not wanting to spend a lot, I found this at the local HD, and purchased it for the remainder of the job. While I gave it two stars for features (I love the fact that all the leads are built in and self contained, and that the probe fits into the front.), the performance was pretty bad. First off, the probe uses four watch-type cell batteries which, surprise surprise, were drained in no time. Also, the button on the probe is super tiny, and not very ergonomic to keep held down while in use. As for the tone generating unit, even though it has a nice variety of leads to choose from, they are all short, and thin, and the alligator clips are a bit weak. If you just want a simple toner that you're going to use infrequently around the house, you might not be too disappointed with the Sperry. I ended up taking it back and bought the Fluke Pro 3000, which I don't have enough good things to say about :) November 13, 2013
