180-Watt 7.5 in. Electric Meat Slicer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay for the money This meat slicer is definitely not a high dollar wonder, but then, it doesn't cost that much! I purchased it to slice apples for drying on a dehydrator and am very happy with it for that purpose. I have not tried it for anything else but believe it would work fine for "small jobs". It does say not to run it continuously for more than 10 minutes. One feature I do not care for is the fact that you have to remove 3 small screws to remove the blade for cleaning. Not the end of the world, just a slight hassle.

It reminds me of the metal toys we purchased for resale in the early 1950s. Cheap and the quality showed the price. This slicer is also poor quality: The tray does not travel smoothly, the blade is slightly off center, it rips rather than slices the meat/cheese, the blade speed is too slow. I would like to return it but I no longer have the shipping box or internals. Quality is way below what I USUALLY expect from Home Depot. Lesson learned I will seek country of manufacture b/4 any future purchase. JB

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a great slicer The slicer is a good size for the small space I have to use it. It is easy to clean and lightweight. I feel it will surely serve the purpose I had in mind for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic slicer for the money Had been looking for a meat slicer for several years but waited for a "good deal". Finally, HD had this slicer on sale. Other comparable slicers were easily 2x as much. This model is not professional , but still a good value for home use. I have used it on several whole pork loins. Couple of Recommendations: 1. Be sure to refridge meats (or partially freeze) prior to slicing ....as your cutting experience will be much easier (less meat shreading). 2. Use a real oil spray on the slider and cutting blade prior to each use- for ease of cutting. 3. The size of the slices (0.0- ~0.5"), can be made adjustment knob, which can be done during the cutting process (fixes stock meat if it gets lopsided).. The blade does rotate slower than say a professional, but it does a good job, so far. Clean up is pretty easy, but I always use a couple of paper towels to finish the job with a little spray oil to coat the metal surfaces. No complaints for the value and ease of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well for the price.. Motor It is a little weak. Meat from the fridge may slow the blade requiring you to slow the advancement to let it catch up. Built a little cheap (lots of plastic). Unit would not hold up for commercial use. It works well for the occasional home use.
