What is the maximum distance between the underside of the top and the top of the bottom shelf when the shelf is at its lowest level?

Not indicated anywhere online.
Asked by: Matt
Roughly 30". The table is 35" H. The top and the shelf are about 1.5" each. At its lowest point, the shelf would be about 2" off the ground. That can vary a bit bc there are feet inside the bottom of the legs that you twist to raise & lower to level the bench on any non-level floor.

can wheels be put on this table?

Asked by: meme
Yes- but it would raise it above counter height then. Make sure you really need to move it around- I considered it but realized I didn't really need that. Also make sure you want to lose that height above it- I have it under shelves so I wouldn't want to lose that space with wheels.

I am very pleased with this stainless steel worktable -- it is exactly as I expected. Delivered via UPS promptly, undamaged, all parts included. The only extra tool I needed was a level. Assembly is simple but best to have a second person help with putting the bottom shelf in place as this would be a bit unwieldy for one alone. It took about an hour for two relatively unhandy women to assemble. I am using this table in my kitchen for food preparation. It it is solid, looks nice and at a very nice price.

Features that stand out: plastic levelers that glide easily and the ability to chose the shelf position. I have had the utility table for about 2 weeks and like the look of the SS table top, but legs are splotchy and the shelf is not of the same finish. I opted for store pick-up, rather than risk damage from UPS home delivery. The outer carton seemed fine; however, when I unpacked it, one end of the table top had been dented in several areas. After having read all the reviews from others who had received dented tables, I knew it was a likely scenario. So I decided I would live with the dented item for now, and replace it later on with something else. It's good enough for the basement but not for the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy,Dandy Work Table We needed a long table that will hold the things that were scattered around in the kitchen . My boyfriend George is a Professional Chef and I are into cooking . I bought this table for George as a gift . When I put it together, we have all the use full items on the table. I highly recommend to get this sturdy strong table and it's worth paying price. It's a table that you would be proud to have in your home. Thank you HomeDepot for making us happy. Stainless Steel Utility Kitchen Work Center works great in my kitchen. It was easy to assemble, it is extremely sturdy and looks great. I would recommend this product for someone looking to expand kitchen counter space. The only complaint I have is that the covering they placed to keep the shelves from scratching took forever to get off. It took over an hour just to remove the sticky plastic coating from the shelves.

I needed a sturdy table, easy to assemble, will be easy to collapse again, and especially that would hold a full 10 gallon fish tank plus accessories. This is the only table I could find that specified a maximum weight capacity. And it was well within what I required. Pluses are the lower adjustable shelf (great for extra storage), and adjustable legs (table is situated on a very uneven floor).

We put this table in our kitchen and use it as extra counter space and a bar where we eat. It looks great with our stainless steel appliances and gives our kitchen a modern feel. It looks like a real chef's work space. As others have commented, it did come with a few dings/scratches on the table surface, but if you don't mind a little character-added, they're really not too bad.

It came in to the local Home Depot store, and the box was heavily damaged and so was the table. On the 2nd attempt, the box had slight damage. We took it to our facility and found that the table was damaged again, however the damage would have taken place during packaging up the table, damage found included some of the rivets that hold the leg holders in place were sheered off and missing. Some of the screws to attach the legs were missing, the side of the top of the table was dented and scratched despite it having white film on it to protect it, and the shelf edge was also damaged despite the fact that it was packed inside the table top. Poor Quality Control the only thing they have done for avoiding damage is add metal corners, nothing protecting the front / back or sides, but given that most of the damage was done prior to shipping, I don't think that is a big issue.

I like the adjustable feet because I have the hand-scraped tile and it comes in handy when leveling the table. It does scratch really easily but it's stainless steel, so I'm ok with it. Small dent on one corner upon arrival, other than that not too bad. For the price, I am very happy with my purchase.
