Answer:
The A/C on my new trailer (2016), will NOT run with this lousy generator. It does not supply the rated wattage. When I returned it, they refused to credit my Visa, instead giving me a "Gift card". Caveat Emptor, buyer beware.

Answer:
If you have a 30amp or less electrical hookup for your camper, than theoretically a 3500 watt generator should run your AC with no problem; however, I returned this model of generator because I could not get it to continuously run with a load.

Yes it will. It powers the a/c unit on my 25' Gulfstream plus the refrigerator and lights with the econ switch on. We do have to turn the a/c off to run the microwave.

You need to make sure you know how many watts the air conditioner uses to run and surge so that you do not go over what the generator allows. Thank you.

Yes, I use it for this reason. It powers a 12,000 BTU roof air unit great. And it does it quietly. Just use heavy gauge wire to connect it.

Even in full ready mode the generator is very low noise. We can carry on a conversation with the unit at full power twenty foot away. Read Less

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not waste money It were broken in a number of places. It looks like this one was returned by another customer. January 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Performance Bought based on recommendations. Started well first few times. Thought that this would turn out to be a very good purchase. When actually needed the generator to provide power for my RV, it wouldn't keep running. Any resistance load placed on the inverter causes it to load and die. Then it's unbelievably difficult to start again. If all I wanted to do was charge batteries or run lights, it would run for 15 minutes and then die. Again, difficult to start. After pulling starter cord for 30 minutes, wouldn't start. Not a generator to depend on at all. Now searching for someone to replace a frayed starter cord. Looking for a shop that can go through this terrible generator that can make it start and run. Hind sight - should not have bought this brand!!! June 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works just like it should I bought this online from home depot. There was a one day sale for $550.00. It arrived in just a few days. I unboxed it, prepped it properly and it fired off on the 1st pull. It runs the a/c, water pump, and lights in my travel trailer with the econ switched on. I would suggest to all of those who had trouble with theirs take the time to actually set the generator up. Put oil in it, put gas in it, oil the air filter, and turn the gas on. July 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing experience It is possible that I just got the lemon in the bunch but this unit gave me nothing but problems. It took at least 20 pulls to get it started out of the box but once it was running it seemed adequate. Ran it for about 4 hours and let it cool down. The second attempt took me about 5 minutes of fiddling with the choke while pulling repeatedly and finally it started again. Repeat that agony over the next 3 days and I decided to have a friend, former small engine repair guy, take a look at it. He determined that with the choke at approximately 75% it would start after multiple pulls. I really wanted to give this thing a chance so I took it on my first hunting trip of the year. Bad decision. Same routine, 10 minutes of messing with it before finally starting. Plugged in the trailer with only a few lights and outlets being used and it died after 5 minutes. Repeat ridiculous process of pulling till my arm ached and it ran for 3 hours. Do I see light at the end of the tunnel? Ha, no chance. The next morning, no love. Can't get it to start at all. 30 minutes of angry muttering, checked spark plug, air filter, gas, oil level, tried starting fluid with no success. I called customer service at Home Depot and they were very helpful. Offered a discount on a different unit (yellow in color) and I returned this piece to a local store. New unit started on first pull and runs smooth. Whew! September 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my needs. I read the reviews for this generator before purchasing and must say folks must not know how to follow directions. I unboxed the generator, popped off the side cover and performed the setup as called for in the instructions. I filled the engine with oil (yes you must do that, the unit comes dry), oiled the air filter, and filled it with gas. I turned the gas valve on and pumped the fuel bulb probably 20 times. I pulled the starter rope 4 or 5 times to circulate the oil, turned the switch on, set the choke and it fired up 1st pull and still does. It runs the air conditioner in my 25' travel trailer just fine on economy mode, along with the lights. The microwave was bit much and tripped a breaker so now I just turn off the a/c long enough to use the microwave and then turn it back on. So far it has been perfectly reliable, and Home Depot's 1 day sale at $550.00 made it a steal. Buy one and properly set it up and I have no doubt that you will be satisfied with your purchase. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First Generator The generator was easy to prep with oil and gas,and easy to start. I was very please on how quiet it was under a load when I turned on my AC in my RV. August 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk, Junk, Junk Was broken when I received it. Can't imagine how one of these can survive the trip from china. Lots of cheap plastic parts. The entire choke lever & shaft assembly is made of plastic & molded as a single piece. The shaft on mine was broken when I received it. Even if it wasn't, it would have broken after a few dozen starts. Less in the winter when the plastic becomes even more brittle. Fortunately, Home Depot took it back with no questions asked--I think that they expect to see quite a few of these returned. April 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best bang for the buck! So far so good. It will carry RV A/C unit. Runs a long time for 2 gallons of fuel. July 28, 2015
