Customer Reviews

7 HP Gas-Powered 2 in. Utility Water Pump is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pump I bought this pump to provide water to my gold prospecting equipment. It is more pump than I needed but the price was right. Very easy starting and operating, and most of the time it pumped all the water that I needed at or just above idle speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good pump that exceeds my expectations I bought the pump to irrigate my food plots using a 275 gal tank and creek water. After getting the appropriate quick disconnect parts and hoses, this baby really pumps. It fills up the 275 gal tank in the back of my pickup from a creek about 15 feet below on just a few minutes. It also easily pump enough water and pressure for 4 sprinklers at the same time. Starts first time every time (when I remember to turn on the on/off switch).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light-weight, effective pump I recommend this pump to anyone who needs to move water and doesn't want to hire a crew to do it. We use the TWPUMP pump to move water from our creek to our watering basins [ponds] on a protected habitat for endangered species. It is slow, but steady, and its light weight means any of us can handle the project. It is easy to move from place to place, and does not require a truck or other vehicle. Its speed reduces its impact on the environment also. The noise is not excessive. Set up, fueling, and changing oil is relatively easy. The filter works well, and it's easy to check and clear. I much prefer it to the rental pumps we used previously.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product was on sale for a great price As advertised. Moves water quickly. Definitely a must have for the low country. I sleep better knowing I have a way to move 1000s of gallons of water away from my house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product with a few flaws Purchased pump on line, the info said it was a 5.5 hp on the engine it shows that it is a 7hp. Start easy and good flow, great for pumping down my pond. The only thing is it does not want to go thru two tanks of gas without shutting down because it is hot. The other problem is where the discharge hose and the exhaust are located, to close together, if you are not paying attention you could melt the hose if it gets close to the muffler, I plan on turning the discharge 180% so it is away from the heat. The muffler is also to close to the handle have to be careful not to burn yourself picking it up right after use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't stay running The price was right, and was easy to get set up, but it wouldn't stay running. Read / followed all instructions closely, and even called them to discuss before returning to the store. Despite the price, it was a waste of time and effort. On three uses over a couple weeks, I got it to run a couple times for 10-15 minutes. Upon restart, and occasional cold start attempt, it was many, many pulls to marginal or no success. I'll spend more next time on another brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works like a champ! Pump works better than expected. The lightweight design makes moving it doable with only one person. The only caveat: the discharge coupling is too close to the muffler, so care needs to be taken when doing any connections once the unit is hot, as well as ensuring that the discharge line doesn't rest or touch the muffler. Other than that one little design flaw, I highly recommend this product.
