I had stains on my shingle roof that I needed to get rid of because of an HOA complaint so I bought a little over $200 worth of this product to treat my entire roof. I applied it as directed with the correct ratio and waited. After 3 months, the stains still remained. This product is a was a waste of time and money and I ended up getting a professional roof cleaner whom I should have called in the first place.

I have been using Spray & Forget for two years now and the difference is amazing. My roof used to get almost black with mildew. Now it's staying clean. Where it used to take two to four days to power spray now it's a two hour job.

The roof cleaner works wonders. Exactly as described. The solution is concentrated so you must mix it with water in a sprayer of some sort. It is a lot of work if using a one gallon manual sprayer. Not so much work when using a power sprayer where you can mix 8 or 10 gallons at a time.
Next time I need to treat my roof I will purchase the bottles that attach directly to a garden hose for automatic dispensing - no mixing required. It is much easier but also more expensive.

This remarkable product can be quite misleading. It is easy to apply and bleaches green algae etc quickly and kills moss. It is dramatically slower on black organisms. I have used it on a roof, concrete steps, and CCA wood. The steps were a good example. There was no apparent effect for quite a few weeks and i kinda forgot I had applied it when I realized the concrete had returned to its original off-white color.
I did buy one batch off the web from Zoros which did not seem to work and I wondered if it had been pre-diluted. Zoros did not respond to my request for info. I now buy it (special order) from Home Depot

I'm an old man of 64 years and I really don't enjoy climbing onto my roof and porch roof to clean the mold and moss from those areas. So I purchased this product last spring in hopes of it cleaning my roof of lichens, mold and moss growth.. I followed the instructions as written on the bottles to a T, because I didn't want to have to climb back up there. And I will say that it DID NOT perform to my expectations.
I really did give it a chance as others have stated it often takes a while (months) for results to show up. It's been a year now, and I do see a very slight difference, but NOT enough to warrant spending $70 again for more product. This product is extremely expensive and for the money I paid for it, it should have worked or carry a $$ back guarantee.
I have a neighbor who tried some cleaner from Lowe's, blue stuff.. I guess I'll talk with him and see what he used... His roof looks very good...

I had high hopes for Spray & Forget, but I also had my doubts – living in such a humid climatic zone with a big house positioned in the midst of many tall and dense trees. However, in time, those high hopes were fulfilled completely. Seldom do I use a product that fully lives up to its claims but this one sure did. I recommend it for roof cleaning over any other product of which I am aware.
But, there is one thing the user really needs to remember after application: “Things take time.” The surface is not likely to get clean-looking before your eyes as though you were using a strong but toxic bleach in the bright sunlight. The directions on the one gallon container are “up front” and honest, suggesting a 3 to 6 month period for full effect. They also admit that a second application may be necessary. This turned out to be the case for my 10-year-old asphalt tile roof in West-Central Florida. It might not have been the case had I mixed the product with water at a “stronger” ratio the first time around.
I am so happy with the outcome and am including a self-explanatory image. I purchased two gallons of the concentrate and used less than one gallon for the entire large north-facing side of my roof (of which you see less than one-third where the staining was greatest). Since I have so much Spray & Forget remaining, my next project will be our concrete driveway and walkways; I'm tired of pressure cleaning. I'd rather let Spray & Forget do the work. Now - if I can just get a 12 hour period without rain I will proceed!

Spray tank application takes time. Be sure to apply uniformly on a first pass - getting the shingles fully wetted but not to the point of run off, then double back to rewet the areas that may have dried unusually quickly, or had heavier deposit of moss/algae/black mold to ensure getting enough product on the trouble areas. BE PATIENT! : Mossy areas show death within hours to days. Black mold is slower but will die out over weeks. Be sure to apply without full sun (if possible) and preferably on mild days. Early morning or early evening are great to allow product to penetrate & be taken up by moss, etc. Be sure to allow for product to dry & work, apply preferably at least one day before rain expected. If moss is thick, wait for it to die out (browned out taking several days to weeks) then lightly sweep with corn broom to dislodge & remove with blower. Rewet the swept areas for best inhibiting effect.
