Depending what you mean by "overload", you may need to replace it with a CB with a lower Amp rating.

The codes are a bit different DW-7176 and DP-4075 - they both seem to be the same specs. Not sure what the heck is different. According to Schneider CP means "bulk label" or something. So are they the same, but one is sold in bulk, the other sold individually? Help!

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The HOM220CP is the same as the HOM220 breaker. The CP is for Consumer Product, which are available at the Retail Stores.

There is no wiring schematic for this 2-pole 20 ampere Homeline branch circuit breaker; load connection is made to the two 'hots' and the neutral.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for my 240 volt Air Compressor Snapped right into my Square D residential power panel and tested OK. I've now have 220 power in the garage to run my 6.5 HP Twin-V air compressor. I attempted to use a Square D Quad Tandem in the same and only available location which did not fit. I learned from reading another review here that the lugs are designed to reject to many circuits within the panel. Exchanged that one for this with no problem. April 1, 2015
