The Square D by Schneider Electric Homeline 20 Amp Two-Pole GFCI circuit breaker is designed for overload and short-circuit protection, combined with Class A ground fault protection. Class A denotes a ground fault circuit interrupter that will trip when a fault current to ground is 6 mA or more. This breaker is compatible with Homeline load centers and CSED devices. The ANSI-certified and UL-listed unit is rated for 120/240 VAC and 10,000 AIR. Homeline circuit breakers are built with the same Square D brand quality you have come to expect at a price that makes them the best value in their class. Homeline circuit breakers are the best in class. Answer: 
The difference is the packaging. The GFI suffix has the breaker coming in our standard package quantity of one. The GFIC puts the breaker in the clamshell packaging for Retail; there is one breaker per clamshell but comes to distributor in an overpack of three.

I will buy a 50 amp BR Type Spa Panel and This panel is coming with the breaker 50 amp. I won't use the 50 amp BR. I am going to change the breaker to HOMELINE 20 Amp two pole GFCI Breaker Model # HOM220GFIC. Is this Breaker HOM220GFIC fit in this Eaton base Model # BR50SPA ? Do you recommend another 20 amp breaker GFCI that can fit in Eaton Model # BR50SPA ?

Square D/Schneider Electric Homeline branch circuit breakers are not tested or approved for use in competitor's load centers or panelboards. Please contact Eaton for assistance per request.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solved a dilemma I wanted split circuits on duplex outlets (top and bottom outlets on separate circuit) but with common neutral next to kitchen sink, but that prevents use of GFCI at the outlet. By installing the double pole GFCI in the panel I can split the circuits and still protect the outlets. Elegant solution but about 3 times the cost of 2 outlet mounted GFCI's. July 23, 2014
