Answer:
#12 copper wire is required to be protected at 20 amps on general use lighting and receptacle circuits. If a branch circuit is extremely long, #10 copper wire may be needed on a 20 amp circuit to help reduce voltage drop. Generally, #10 aluminum wire must be protected at 20 amps. There are some exceptions to the general rules when powering circuits with motor loads.

OK, that answer didn't help since I am reading info off your old product.

I am attaching an image here, can that help?

Can you confirm which type of breaker I need to locate (i.e QQ or HOM) in addition to being a Two Pole?

No attachment received. Please call our Technical Support group at 1-888-778-2733, option 1, for selection assistance based on which load center is existing: For QO load centers, QO branch circuit breakers are used and for Homeline load centers, HOM branch circuit breakers are used.

Answer:
A circuit breaker is not a fuse, they are two entirely different things. Can you remove one and replace it with another? That would depend on your skill level, but I doubt that is the problem. You have an Eaton/Cutler-Hammer BR series arc fault breaker yet you asked this question about a Square D Homeline single pole breaker. They are not UL Listed to be interchanged. If arc fault protection is required it cannot be replaced with any typical single pole breaker. Suggestions? Considering your lack of knowledge, you should probably call a qualified, licensed electrical contractor. Read Less

Answer:
Please contact licensed and qualified electrician to troubleshoot issue. Type BRAF indicates an Eaton breaker which is not interchangeable with Homeline (HOM120).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I Tested It Before deciding on the Homeline product, I bought and subjected all the competition to high amperage and short circuit tests. The Homeline did the best especially when it came to over amping. March 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Shipping is terrible! Product is a good product. I'll be amazed if they work after the way they were shipped. Bunch of loose breakers in a way too large box with no packing (deflated air bags). I'll never buy online from home Depot again. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needed item Easy to insert into fuse box to activate new wiring. October 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Price Good quality for a great price. For some reason, each of the breakers I purchased (four in all) looked like they had all been roughed up and/or possible used already. When I went to the store find replacements, they were all looking like that. So I assume it was the way they are built. As long as they work and hold up, I guess I am happy with them. June 9, 2015
