CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Suitable for expanding existing and new panels Sparky1983 fromSeminole, FL, USA suggests these are only for panels before 1965. So why do new Square D panels allow you to expand number of circuits using tandem breakers. Sparky 1983 is incorrect. All you need is look at description for new Square D panels. March 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2,40$ Cheaper than RENO DEPOT!!! for the same one! Great for a panel that has no more room or to free doubled up breakers.... August 12, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Meant for replacement only This is a quality product but is not to be used to expand the number of circuits in a maxed out panel. Since 1965, the NEC has stated that panels shall have a physical means to keep from adding more circuits to the panel than it is designed for. Although this breaker will fit where a UL listed QOT tandem breaker will not, it is not intended for expanding a panel's maximum circuit capacity. It is only intended for replacement of a breaker in a panel built before 1965. February 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tandem Square D QO Circuit Breaker Although more expensive than two reqular QO breakers, these tandem QO breakers are just the thing when you need to add another circuit to an electrical panel that is already maxed out! I had to add a double pole breaker to an old 100 amp panel to supply a water pump, so I removed 4 single pole breakers and replaced them with 2 tandem breakers, which left room for the double pole breaker.
