Get multiple estimates from licensed, bonded, and insured electricians to rewire your entire house with copper Romex & bring it up to current Code. Single strand aluminum branch wiring is not well suited to modern large current appliances (e.g. vacuums, saws, and hairdryers) and over time oxidizes and can cause fires. Use your favorite search engine to query "aluminum wiring fires."

I am currently closing on a house built in 1978 that was inspected and found to have aluminum wiring. I am splitting the cost of full replacement with the seller ($8,000). The price was an easier pill to swallow than the risk. I am located in northeast Florida if you need a geographic reference for the price differential. After closing, I will pitch in another $2,500 to have a service main upgrade back to the street using a 4-wire service cable & the 200A Square D QO panel listed here.
I look forward to doing many projects with many large power tools without worrying about the lines overheating and the outlets catching fire. Basically, I recommend that you solve your main problem first before you solve any others. [pun intended!]

Though the HomeLine is probably a fine series that gets the job done, save up a little longer and get the superior QO series. The Specifications page and the marginal price difference should be all the convincing you need to buy the "heavier duty" lifetime warrantied product.

Hi danny,
I'm a bit confused by your question, as you did ask for what breakers to use for your Homeline Square D panel, but the product you asked was a QO Square D, which are two different types of panels.
In either case, you'd use QO Square D breakers for a QO panel, and Homeline breakers for Homeline Square D panels.
Both brands are sold at your local Home Depot store in stock.
I will say that Read More

I will say that Homeline is typically used for residential applications, as the QO is somewhat more expensive and usually commercial.
I hope this clears up any confusion.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great panel, get parts everywhere After years of messing around with other panels, i found this QO box from Square D. A name you can trust. Simple install, plenty of spaces, and if you need breakers, you can go just about anywhere to get them. Used this for my new shop, and as a replacement in 2 homes. Doesn't get any easier. Just don't forget to get all your breakers when you get the panel or you'll be making a trip back out to get them. October 20, 2012
