Will this work as a solar panel combiner box?

This question is from QO 60 Amp 2-Space 4-Circuit Outdoor Main Lug Load Center with Non-Metallic Enclosure and Neutral

A combiner box for solar panel arrays is basically the reverse of a load distribution center box. Several strings of solar panels feed in to a few breakers, where they're bused and end with two outputs: + and - DC. I understand that Square D QO breakers are rated and certified for DC use as well as AC, so would this box work?

Answer:
QO branch circuit breakers are rated for 48VDC max. For solar application, please consider a heavy duty safety switch at intended voltage; please see following for more information: http://www2.schneider-electric.com/resources/sites/SCHNEIDER_ELECTRIC/content/live/FAQS/103000/FA103864/en_US/3110DB0401R0410%20_June%202010.pdf

Cannot tell from photo how 20 amp QO breakers fit this panel

Of course I see where the breakers mount from looking at the enlarged photo. However, the panel connector "pins" look to be flat horizontals, and there are just two (because this is a two-space panel, yes). BUT, each QO breaker has TWO "vertical" mounting terminals and I cannot visually determine how this works. Please advise.

I have wired many residential panels before, but never had a QO installation. I must be ignorant about something regarding my question.

Thank you

Answer:
The QO24L60NRNM is just a 2 space load center will look very similar to the photo on digest page 1-25 of the QO3100BNF, BUT with ONLY 2 spaces. The breakers will plug onto the interior and be Vertically mounted, so the handles will operate up and down, instead of side to side. To find SE On-Line Digest, please use the following link: http://www.digestplus-us.schneider-electric.com/ . I hope this helps! Read More

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT FOR OUTDOOR USE Used one of these for solar set up on vineyard pumping. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD OUTDOOR APPLICATION This was used in an outdoor solar pump system. Just what we needed. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Square-D breaker box Excellent product. I bought mine to use in the reverse that most folks buy a branch circuit sub panel. I am using mine as a solar panel combiner box: The feeds from several strings of solar panels comes in through the breakers, combine and go out via the main bus to the charge controller and battery bank. The Square-D breakers that fit are also rated for DC current. So it's a great non-metallic, rust free solar combiner box. March 5, 2016
