Are any of the St. Paul vanity top material options heat resistant? I typically lay my flat iron on our current top and turn it on and leave it until I'm ready to use it. Our current top has no problems with me doing this (it doesn't melt, discolor, or anything). Just curious if anyone new what to expect from this brand.
Asked by: jmv
Jmv, Thank you for your inquiry. We can confirm that the composite vanity tops are not heat resistant and direct heart (such as hair styling tools) should not be placed directly onto the vanity top. Our best recommendation would be for you to use some sort of support pad to lay the curling/flat iron on as burns will not be covered under your Limited Lifetime Warranty. Best Regards.

I'm trying to order a top with dimensions: 59.5" x 22". But, when I save it on my shopping cart, the item shows as 61". Why does it add extra length to my order?
Asked by: John
John, Thank you for your inquiry. We can confirm that the reason you are seeing 61” instead of 59.5” is because the 61 is just the price point. The cost of the vanity top is determined by the width of the item, therefore the cost is divided into the following intervals; up to 25”, up to 31”, up to 37”, up to 43”, up to 49”, up to 55”, up to 61”, and so on. Since 59.5” falls between 55” and 61”, it is automatically assigned to the up to 61” price point. Your actual retail (prior to shipping/taxes) should be listed on your PDF worksheet. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the details of your order, our best recommendation would be for you to reach out to our Customer Service team for more information. You may reach out to our Customer Service team by calling 1-800-235-7747 (Mon-Friday/8 AM CST-5 PM CST) or by e-mailing them at customerservice@woodcrafters-tx.com. Best Regards.

Is the white quartz more warm tones (tans) or cool tones (blue/grays)?

Unable to determine from the 4x4 sample if the overall look of the color variations tends to be more complimentary to warm tones (tans/beige) or cool tones (blue/grays)?
Asked by: DIYer
DIYer, Thank you for your inquiry. We can confirm that the White Quartz finish contains more cool tones with a white base and 3 hand-painted gray strokes that run effortlessly throughout the length of the vanity top. Best Regards.

Can I use diluted vinegar to clean white quartz countertops?

I've recently installed two white quartz countertops. Can I use diluted vinegar to clean them? I am chemically sensitive and your instructions did not indicate natural products to clean the countertops? Thank you,
Asked by: puzzled
Puzzled, Yes you can use Vinegar to clean the top but do not use an abrasive rag or brush to clean. Thanks,

4 in. AB Engineered Composite Vanity Top Sample in White Quartz is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning material The integral rectangular sink in white quartz that I ordered is absolutely stunning. The silver veining in translucent white is subtle and realistic looking. It is linear like real onyx or marble (no cheesy swirls). My contractor thought it was a real marble sink! He couldn't believe it was cultured marble. The integral rectangle is contemporary & very chic. The material feels like stone & shines like polished stone. Even if it dulls over the years, it will still be beautiful, because of the translucence of the material, like old marble that's acquired a patina. Love, love, love this sink.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Custom Order = Terrible Product & Service with no Buyer Protections Do not custom order these tops unless you like subpar quality. The ones manufactured and sold in the store or as part of a package are likely better, but the custom tops are awful. I ordered one for my 55" vanity and there is a significant crown in the middle, so much so that a 1/4' or more gap exists from the bottom side of the top to the top of my vanity cabinet (or when I set my level on top, the gap at each end is 1/4"). Obviously, when that is the case, the next expectation is to set something of weight on it, only to watch it crack. Additionally, the edges are only as thick as they are (3mm) becuase it's not the continous depth throughout the top and is "formed" by a one or two inch band for which you have to compensate with blocking if your cabinet doesn't extend to all the walls (this band is not continuous around the entire top either). After several calls and emails to customer service to file a warranty claim, they advised me 1/4" is within their tolerance standards and my only "recourse" was to order a new one. However, there is no way to return the old one since it was a special order. Thus, if I ordered a new one, I would be stuck with not one, but two, substandard vanity tops of inferior quality. I guess it pays to spend a little extra and not have to deal with the headache. I'll likely be taking my business to Lowe's or Menard's where the quality and craftsmanship of their products seems to be substantially higher than many of HD's vendors.
