Answer:
It can be used for a kitchen island only if you add a back panel to cover the entire back side of the vanity. The one that is there now only covers 2/3s of the back. For all the extra work to make that change you might as well buy an actual kitchen island.

Hello Berna and thank you for your question.
Berna back side of this vanity is unfinished MDF plywood. If you wish to use this vanity for a kitchen island (technically you can ) i would suggest to finish the back side with wainscot type of plywood.I've done this in the past with good results.
Hope this helps.

Answer:
This has two drawers in the center and two doors on either side. You would most likely have to re-plumb to use a center sink but it could be done. If you have a good plumber, that is. As it is, the drawers will be in the way of the plumbing until it is moved.

There is a kick plate a few inches deeper inside of the decorative foot panel. It will hide the tile if it does not go all the way to the wall.

the arch is open along the bottom of the cabinet but behind it is a kickplate set back an inch or less. Sorry, I am not at the location where we installed the cabinet so I can't measure the set back for you.

Providence 60.125 in. W x 21.75 in. D x 34.25 in. H Vanity Cabinet Only in White is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Service This item arrived several days before the promised date (+1) This item was very well packaged (+1) This item was heavier than expected (0) This item looks good (+1) This item was of lesser quality than the one we removed (-1) It is a 61" long vanity and the front piece was very bowed. It required us to insert a support to push the bow back out. The self adjusting feet did not self adjust and we had to put shims underneath to get it level. This item will accept any vanity top without issue due to the open top (but this caused the bow) (+1) Overall it meets our needs for an upstairs children's bathroom very nicely (+1)

First the board that goes across the front above the doors and drawers is bowed a lot. Then the drawers kept sliding open. When we took the metal guides off the drawer to try to adjust them, found out both drawers were cracked under the glides. The doors and top drawer have a gap across the top that cannot be adjusted out. Finally determined the whole thing is sagging in the middle. Didn't know this until the contractor has already installed it and left... Too late to return it now! I will never recommend this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little disappointed The facade that goes at the top of the cabinet to hide the sinks was bowed in and, therefore, the drawers and doors weren't flush. When our remodeler came out to fix the doors and drawers because that's we thought it was, he noticed the top of the cabinet was bowed in. He was surprised that there wasn't a support beam in the middle of it to prevent that, especially when the cabinet was shipped. I guess you get what you pay for. We'll be looking for another cabinet when we can pay for a better one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Just what we were looking for!! Install went easy, very sturdy, easy to clean and looks beautiful in our new bath. Make sure to put plenty of screws in cause the middle portion is heavy and will sag if not attached to stud.

The vanity is really pretty, but before the granite top was installed, we had to place a 2 X 4 above the drawer area as it bowed inward. I thought about returning it but with the adjustment it worked.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bathroom vanity The doors and drawers do not sit flush and because the side panel of wood stops short by 8 inches there is a gaping space behind the doors and drawers making it look like they're not closed completely. We are adding trim to try to alleviate some of the issue to make it not look so tacky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean, Tall, Classic We purchased this vanity for our master bathroom, which we completely re-did. The white looks great with a marbled sink top and works well with double sinks, as the back of the vanity has very thin wood which is easy to drill through on both sides. The vanity is a little higher than expected, but I am fine with that as it provides plenty of under the sink storage. For a product that is not "high end", it looks nice and seems to function well, I think an overall good purchase for bathroom re-modelers that want an upgrade without doing serious wallet damage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product has problems. I liked the design of this vanity and it seemed very sturdy. We are do-it-yourselfers, and it took four of us to get it into our bathroom. However, once we got it into the room, several problems appeared and we had to return the product. 1. The description stated that the vanity would accommodate a single centerset sink. There was no place for our plumbing, and we would have lost the use of the top middle drawer. 2. The two inside doors for the cabinet section were misaligned with a 1/2 in. gap at the top of the doors. The adjustable hinges would not function as stated because the middle dividers stick out too far.
