Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by matt Great Safe!
Great Safe! Would hold 12 rifles on one side with plenty of room on the other side for ammo, handguns, etc. Love that it has a spare key in case the digital keypad ever failed. Added some battery operated motion lights inside and a door organizer, made it perfect. Very well built. Yes it is heavy! Took an appliance dolly and two strong friends to get it in the house. Three lag bolts in the bottom and one in the back to the wall later and this things not going anywhere! Nice safe for the price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kona Good safe for the money.
I would think that anyone purchasing a gun safe has done their research. I did, and I know that this is a good quality unit considering the price. I got what I had expected and I'm very happy with it. I might be buying another one soon.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by matt Great price, good product
Great price. Looks and works as described.
I use for everything but guns (coin collection, documents etc). Getting it to the house and in place was a 1 & 1/2 person job using a dolly.
It could have used about 5 more shelves (since I'm not storing rifles). I called the company to order more - but they were way overpriced. I ended up making a few more on my own...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bison25 Best Value Safe on Web!
I spent about 3 months looking for a safe that was within a $700 price limit and had fireproofing and ability to store a combination of guns and shelves for valuables and other items.
The Stackon unit was the best value that I found out there and Home Depot was the best price anywhere on the web when ordered.
Delivery was quick and easy to my door and with the help of a couple of friends it was quickly moved to basement and installed with no issues.
Very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JaxZ71 Nice entry level safe / Make sure you have a plan to get it insdie
The safe is a pretty nice entry level safe. It is a little better than an RSC due to it's 30 minute fire rating.
My only complaint is how I was helped to get this nearly 500 lb. beast home.
I explained to them that I planned on renting an appliance dolly and their truck. I wanted to have it strapped to the dolly and then loaded in the truck to make unloading at home easier because I would be able to slide it down the truck ramps using the dolly.
1. I rented the truck from HD since it would have ramps (was informed only at pickup that the ramps were of insufficient capacity, even though I told them my plan)
2. I rented an appliance dolly to get it off the truck and into the house. (The 1 person they sent to help was not able to get it in the truck with the dolly attached)
3. It was loaded in the truck with the lock side down. This would not have been much of a problem if it was attached to the dolly before loading. Since we had to slide it out we worried that we might damage the locking mechanism. The only reason ti was not damaged is that we were very careful to see where it was and what might catch it.
4. It took 2 people over 30 minutes just to get it off the truck. I had to pay additional charges for the time.
Good price on this model.
Rent an appliance dolly. ($10-$12 / day)
Pay the $75 freight charge and be prepared to meet the driver with your rented dolly since it is curbside delivery only. They may or may not bring it into a garage for you (they are not required to), but good luck getting them to help you get it in the house. Buy some pizza for 2 of your strongest friends to get it inside.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ST 2 defective keypads
The safe itself seems sturdy. The electronic keypad is very poorly made and lasted 3 days before it stopped working. There is a key to open the safe in the event of keypad failure.
We contacted customer service and they sent out another keypad. The second one lasted 1 day before it also stopped working. The wiring is clearly defective. Some of the keys work, while others do not. The company obviously knows there's a problem with the keypads, because it's on the website frequently asked questions. So for now the second keypad is dangling off the front of the safe by it's wires, and we're using the key for access.
