Customer Questions & Answers

would my rifles fit in this safe?

I have a .308, (2) AR-15, a 12-gauge, and a few pistols (different calibers) plus ammo, flack jacket and other important stuff, would it all fit?, and I want to put this safe in the master bedroom closet (upstairs), would it be too much weight to put in there?

Curbside delivery, not that heavy, can be maneuvered on a dolly.

Not water resistant - really

How can a fire safe not be water resistant?
Asked by: firefighter
As I understand it from my research, fire-resistant safes have expanding insulation around the door that activates at high temps to make the interior "fire-safe" up to a certain temp for a given time. It is not a given, however, that this sealed door will keep all water out. If you mount your safe to the floor, you also have to penetrate the bottom of the safe, which also allows a water path. However, it's worth considering that the bottom shelf of the safe sits several inches off the floor, given the way the safe is constructed. I'm placing the most valuable contents on the upper shelves, for what it's worth. Again, based on my research, as you move to both water and fire-resistance in a safe of this size, the cost goes up VERY quickly to $1,000+++.

Customer Reviews

Shooter's Handgun Ammo Fire Safe with Electronic Lock is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well built. I like the 5 minute shut down when several failed attempts occur. And you can create an 8 digit code. It's well built solid steel. It can be programmed to accept 8 digits. It has a shut down period of 5 minutes upon several failed attempts, which adds security. Fire proof and I think water proof. Three shelves and the bottom provide plenty of room for your valuables and documents. Comes with two keys in case you forget the code. If you lose your key the manufacturer requires strict verification that you are the original owner before you are able to purchase a replacement key. (Remember to register safe with the manufacturer upon receiving it.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is a great product ! This safe is a great product it is sold as a pistol safe , but I got it for important papers & jewelry. I already have a stack-on gun safe and I liked so well I bought this one for our valuables . but I do have two pistols in door holsters . would recommend to my friends!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice purchase The delivery was slightly longer than anticipated but once it arrived the safe was exactly as described. Plenty of space for pistols, ammo or jewelry items as needed. The adjustable shelves seemed a little cheap as they were basically plywood with felt covering them but they work just fine for our needs. The lock was very easy to program and instructions were clear. I would not consider this a high grade safe but as a basic theft deterrent or to keep unwanted hands away from valuable items or weapons it more than serves its purpose. I would recommend this safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the most part I bought this safe as an overflow to my main safe which is an American Security safe which weighs over 1100 lbs. I was running out of room so I purchased the Stack-On to store my ammo. For the most part this safe is good but probably would not be too hard to get into if someone wanted to. My biggest gripe is that the brackets on the side that are used to hold the shelves are uneven so once you set your height for the shelf and put the shelf in place, its a little wobbly. Hopefully they are not all like that. Other than that I am satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice safe, but not USA made, and not water resistant, you know that stuff they use to put out fires. It's a good sage for the price. No complaints. Other reviewers seem to think its water rated, it's not. Or made in ZuSA, it's not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a Fort Knox or Liberty At a sub-$400 price tag, do not expect this to be near the quality of a Fort Knox or Liberty safe. However, what you do get is more bang for your buck. It is well constructed for its price. It's perfect for storing your firearms and important documents you may want quick access to. I'd keep priceless heirlooms and high value items in something or someplace more secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value in a Substantial, Big Safe Wanted a safe that was really "too big" for what we need right now, that could accommodate a variety of stuff, from handguns to lenses to business papers, and didn't want to spend thousands of $$. This fits the bill completely. Delivery was prompt, packaging was intact, the safe was in perfect shape (have read lots of reviews from people who claimed the inside of their new safe was dirty) and relatively easy to move. Just think about where you're placing it and how you're going to get it there, as it's bulky and heavy. Without a two-wheeler, strapping and two people, I don't know who we'd have done it. And glad we were taking it DOWN to the basement, not UP to the 2nd floor. No issues whatsoever programming the digital keypad, and the overall feel of the handle and locking pins is very substantial. Overall, though, a great purchase. Added a set of motion-detector lights, dehumidifier and some pistol hangers, and it's good to go.
