I purchased these balusters, scroll balusters, and shoes for a staircase renovation. These were beautiful and very well made. The price of these were half of some of the specialty iron stores. This was my first DIY project and these balusters look amazing... The picture speaks for itself.

Knuckle can be moved by loosening hex bolt. There is a riased line left where the knuckle originaly was. I do not know if it is a build up of paint or what. It was only on one side so I was able to orient it toward the back. It worked out for me.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DIYGuy Good product but there is a catch
The product is sturdy and the paint is good. However the item is painted with the “knuckle” in place. Although the knuckle is held in place by an allen screw, underneath the knuckle is raw, unfinished metal. Thus preventing the end user from moving the knuckle at all, otherwise “ugly” metal will be visible.

I was disappointed that I could not move the knuckle up or down because where the knuckle was positioned on the iron rail it was not painted. I also had to remove the knuckle off the iron baluster a lot because the hole at the top of the iron baluster was on the same side as the allen screw holding the knuckle on, so when you went to put cap at the top of the baluster the screw for the cap would go in the hole instead of tightening up on the baluster.

I bought these as a start for my installation to see how it went. They arrived earlier than expected, and were beautifully packaged each in individual plastic sleeves, so no damage at all. That was one of my biggest concerns.
Yes, you need to cut them down to size (that would be true for virtually any installation I would say) and the knuckles need to be repositioned, but it`s not difficult - they come off easily with an allen key, just sand rough medium and then smooth, and spray paint with a can of satin black, then reposition the knuckle. I`ve done 12 today and it took no more than a couple of hours. They look fantastic, are amazing quality for the price and I`m thrilled to bits with them. Will now be placing an order for the rest of the ones I need.
I installed these with the LJ Smith iron pro fixings and they worked beautifully. I wish Home Depot sold those too, but they don`t so I had to go elsewhere for those.
Don`t know who the manufacturer is (they came from Georgia) but big shout out to them - great quality, very well packaged, sent promptly, no drama, no hassle.

So the railing turned out beautiful but a few things to remember. First, I never checked it but the length is 44". I don't need 44". So we had to cut them down. Well, the squares are movable with an allen wrench, however the spindles are painted AFTER they are placed. So, we ended up having to cut them, remove the squares, sand them, replace the squares and paint. So, even tho they look great, there was a lot of work involved. Make sure they are the size you need! Oh and a few were chipped and would have needed touch up anyway.
