I have hardwood floor on my main level and had carpet on my stairs. After living in the home for 10 yrs, the carpet was hammered and looked bad. Hardwood stairs was the answer and Stairtek was the quickest way to get there. We had a quote from a contractor for $5000. Forget that and DIY with Stairtek. The Stairtek videos on their YouTube channel was helpful. I ended up buying the Stairtek jig. That works good. All in all, pretty easy, looks super nice, and saves lots of money.

Bought these prefinished retreads to replace carpet on my stairs. Great, sturdy product. The gunstock color is just what I expected. Prefinished is definitely the way to go! Watched plenty of online videos and the job went without a hitch. Love them.

ordered this tread in red oak. Received something much less quality. Only one tread in the box was oak. The rest were pine or something low quality. See pics. Home Depot would not refund us for the poor quality treads. Buyer Beware!

We got our flooring from Lumber Liquidators but needed stair treads for the 11 steps going from our living room to the downstairs. The former store used a vendor that was twice as much price for one step than what we got at Home Depot. I was able to order easily on-line. I ordered one first to see how it looked and it was beautiful and very well packaged. So, I ordered ten more direct delivery to the local store here, no delivery charge. Arrived on time and were packaged really secure. The stair treads are now on our steps and they look terrific. I would definitely recommend these for anyone needing all ready finished stair treads!

We capped old paint-grade pine with these oak treads. They look amazing! Completed the project is a weekend.

Save a ton on materials by buying yourself but expect to pay a professional to install it at $75 to $100 for tread/riser. Anyway, this is a good product and a better value that other retail locations.

Make sure you use the regular liquid nails (the darker one) and make sure you sand as much of the old paint off the old treads. Use liberal amounts of liquid nails. A small tube will do a riser and a 36"wide tread. A few finish nails on each side while someone stands on the treads is best. These will look great.

This product met my needs. The quality of the wood and finish are excellent. The gunstock color does not match Bruce gunstock, but close enough so that I'm not disappointed.
