Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DM45 Great product for prefab stair case
The treads allowed me to cover the bull nose of the prefab unit without having to cutting it off. The bull nose and cove of the retread was long enough to cover the old tread and the edge of the riser without any extra effort. I will use them again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Creedo Grain match was dead on, no warpage, packed in boxes-excellent.
I must say that I was impressed when I opened the boxes and found styrofoam between the treads to protect each piece. No damage was found on the 18 treads in the order. Grain selection on each piece was excellent. Minor sanding before staining was required as with any production woodworking supplies. Overall a 5 for quality, speed of delivery and price

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Stairtek0.625 in. x 11.5 in. x 42 in. Unfinished Red Oak Retread
WE first cut the retreads to length. They were stained and three coats of polyurethane. We then glued and nailed the retreads in place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1wcindy The retread made it so easy to redo my stairs after carpet.
The matieral was easy to cut, glue and nail down. The stain turned out a darker red than gunstock color I was going for but that is a beginners mistake. Just an easy way to cover your stairs after carpet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by homedepotpatron Great Product!
This product is awesome. My husband and I ripped out carpeting on our stairs and then installed these retro retreads. The stairs are gorgeous and much easier to keep clean than the carpeting. We bought the stair step tool for measuring each stair that is sold separately. It sped up the process and was totally worth the $20. If you have tools (table saw, compound miter saw, etc...) and carpentry skills these should not be a problem to install yourself.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BobtheBuilder Surprisingly easy system to use!
This system was very easy to use, especially if you watched the 3 minute youtube video avaialble for it. The only major requirement is a good saw capable of cutting the 12 inch wide stair treads. Make sure you use the Stairtek installation tool to account for any out-of-square situation with the old stair system.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 excellent quality
I bought these treads to renovate our staircase which was covered in tired ugly carpet. We had replaced all of the carpet in the house with oak laminate, but wanted real oak for the staircase. We stained the treads to match the laminate perfectly and polyurethaned them before installing. I bought some extra treads in the longer length and made my own winders using a biscuit joiner and templates. I also bought the tread measuring tool which was money well spent. I cut my own risers out of oak ply as I needed them to be just half inch depth rather than 3/4. Installed with PL400, stairs feel solid and look fabulous.

We sanded and sprayed poly on them. To get them to match my current floor we did a quick swipe of oak stain. Love them, they are gorgeous. Would definitely recommend them.
