Are these risers a true 3/4 thick or 5/8 thick? 5/8 would be fine. Just curious.

0.75 in. x 7.25 in. x 36 in. Primed White Poplar Riser is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality This thickness was perfect when using it with my Cap a Tread laminate stairs. They cut well with a table saw. The primer paint is quite thick. Nothing transparent about it.

Chose these risers to re-tread my carpet stairs with hardwood as they were pre-primed. I was impressed with the over-all quality of the smooth finish. All but 1 of the risers were good to paint as is, and only 1 required filling and sanding. I was very happy with the results

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent riser I am capping the stairs and chose to purchase these risers instead of just making my own. I was pleased with the overall quality of them as there were few defects in the material and the defects that were there were minimal. The planks were not warped or deformed and they were primed on both sides. There is definitely a front and back as the primer is more consistent and smoother on one side. It would be nice if shims either came with boards or was at least offered as I have seen for other riser replacements.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Save your money and buy poplar and then paint them yourself If you have the time, buy the poplar board at your local store and then paint it white to match your trim. The boards are fine, quality wise and saves you time, but you can save money by just buying the wood and making your own boards. Plus you can then buy to the specific height of your risers.
