Automatic Thermostat

Does the heater have an automatic thermostat that turns the heater on and off when the room gets to the desired temperature?
Asked by: Curious
No, it has an adjustable thermostat for heat output, but it does not have a thermostat that measures the temperature of the room.

My garage is 350 sq ft would it work to heat the whole garage? Plan on using for extra room for my sons bday party

Asked by: August
I have this heater and it works well to supplement the heat in my one room apartment (11x15 / 165 sq ft). When it's really cold it runs almost constantly, so if you want to use it for the primary source of heat for your garage it's not going to work. To heat your garage, as long as you don't have any flammable objects (gasoline cans), you might try a propane heater. My brother uses one "Mr Heater big buddy" and it really works well and warms his large room nicely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is smaller than expected but.... This product is smaller than expected but it really has some power and punch. I have two in the lobby area where I sit at work and they both do the trick. The best features for me is that they are quiet and that you have the option of keeping it on all the time or can adjust it so that once the met temperature is reached it shuts off and then turns back on again when it senses the room is not at the set temperature. Love it, Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from handy small heater I use it for my unheated smaller kitchen; it rises kitchen temperature by 10-15 degree within 30 minutes. Heater has sharp look, the right size, pretty quiet run and stands firm.. It would be great if the tilt could be adjustable, But for this price it's great as it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything and More This heater is the best. Ceramic is the way to go. The heater is small but mighty. Very quiet and generates a great amount of heat. Price is excellent (I shopped around quite a bit). You can't go wrong with a Stanley product or Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RELIABILITY & STABILITY 1. HEATER HAS EXTREMELY ACCURATE THERMOSTAT 2. HEATER FAN SHUTS OFF WHEN HEATING ELEMENTS SHUT OFF. 3. SELECTIVE `FAN ONLY` OPTION 4. HEATER IS VERY SAFE, DURABLE AND HAS TOP OF THE LINE HEATING ELEMENTS WHICH ARE SAFER. 5. HEATER IS VERY STABLE AND JUST WON`T `FALL APART` 6. HEATER IS ALSO GREAT AS A REGULAR ROOM OR AREA HEATER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stanley heater Great product. Does exactly what was desired, i.e heat a bedroom in a reasonable amount of time. Takes up minimal space and stands safely. I would buy again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so utility, utility heater Nice little ceramic heater but no better than any home ceramic heater at cheaper prices. I live in p.a. And used this heater in my utility room to keep it more comfortable while doing some plumbing. The heater seemed to do ok however after buying another brand heater at a cheaper price for another room of my home I realized that the stanley heater was nothing special. Not saying it's a bad heater, simply saying it's nothing special in the ceramic heater isle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small foot-print. This heater is OK, but, in my estimation it is not as good as another smaller sized Lasko Ceramic Heater that I purchased at the same time. It works, but I am not impressed. The heat output appears to be restricted. I would recommend Lasko Model #754200 instead, slightly smaller in size, but boy does it put out the heat!
