Tip over/shut off safety mechanism

This question is from 11.25 in. 1,500 Watt Electric Portable Ceramic Utility Heater
January 21, 2016
Does the heater have a shut off/tip over safety? I can't find any mention of one in the description. Also I don't see any mention of high and low settings. I only see that it says 1500 watts - which is high for most heaters.

Answer:
This heater has a thermal overload protector built in to prevent overheating. If the overheat temperature is reached, the unit will shut off and can only resume operation once the unit has been reset. This until has three settings: fan only, low heat and high heat.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 11.25 IN. 1,500 WATT ELECTRIC PORTABLE CERAMIC UTILITY HEATER It took three shipments to finally get a heater which was NOT damaged. Even this undamaged heater cannot be used to its full capability ............... everytime the fan is put on speed 2 the heater trips the electrical circuit February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anomalous This is kind of a throwback in American history. If this were the 1960's, I'd say it was a fairly normal item. It is made of decent materials, exhibiting decent craftsmanship/build quality. I've used it extensively for the last six winters, and it always works well. It doesn't seem to deteriorate, show its' age, in any way. In roughly the same time period, I've gone through five toasters, two expensive over-range microwave ovens, two electric can openers, two hair dryers. Most electronics are made to fall apart in a very short time, and this is that rare exception. I wouldn't go so far as to say it is the 'Apple' of heaters, but it's nice to not have to replace something every year or two. One of the few things I've purchased in the last 20 years that didn't make me feel like I'd been ripped off. What used to be normal is now considered a triumph! November 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything and More This heater is the best. Ceramic is the way to go. The heater is small but mighty. Very quiet and generates a great amount of heat. Price is excellent (I shopped around quite a bit). You can't go wrong with a Stanley product or Home Depot. December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Had it for years-still great We have had this heater for years and it still works great. All our $120+ heaters have bit the dust after one season but this keeps going. Heats bathroom or bedroom great. We will keep buying Stanley! November 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent purchase Just plug it in, set the settings as you want them, and let it do its thing, which it does beautifully! February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent purchase choice Very easy to use. Keeps the area warm. Small and compact. February 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good little heater This is a very good heater. It's compact and heats very well in enclosed small areas. I like the design with the handle. November 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Packs big heat for a small unit So far this has been keeping our 35 foot camping trailer toasty overnight with temps in the 40's. Really only used it about a dozen times though so I'm not saying to run out and buy one. If it would work like it does now for say 2 years I'd be singing it's praises. Pretty quiet too. May 20, 2014
