I've used a Roberts linoleum knife for years and it survived well, especially given that I do a lot of twisting with the point of the blade. Finally the tip broke and I needed a replacement. My local HD only carried this Stanley brand knife. The tip broke within 5 minutes of use! In the store I saw that the metal looked thinner and the handle definitely of lower quality. But since I needed a new knife, I bought it. Money down the drain! I'll have to look for a Roberts knife at a competitors store or order from HD online. The fact that the Stanley costs more just adds insult to injury. I can't recommend the Stanley unless all you are doing is cutting lettuce. But the Roberts would be better for that too!

Within just a very short while, the knife was so dull it would not even cut a tarp.

I used this knife for something other than its intended purpose... I had to put down 900 sq ft of sod and used the knife to cut the sod along edging, sprinkler heads, etc. Considering the medium it was cutting it stayed sharp and was comfortable to hold and use.

I've been using this tool to harvest lettuce with great effect. I would highly recommend it!

I used this product for cutting "sod". In fact it was better than the one I got elsewhere that was dull.
We are always please with going to Home Depot!
