How much does the product weigh?

This question is from 24 in. Ripping Bar
March 6, 2016
I've heard that crowbars are really heavy and hard to use, so I'm wondering exactly how much this bar weighs. This information can also help me calculate force and other things when determining the effectiveness of this bar.

24 in. Ripping Bar is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool / Great value For demolition I keep a supply of crow bars on hand that I buy at estate sales for peanuts. These brand new ones from Stanley are strictly for personal protection. Good looking, bright yellow so they see it coming, sharp claws to stop an intruder in their tracks, and a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB! I'm a Truck Driver. I bought this 24" Ripping Bar for one purpose: Pulling nails out of the wooden floors of trailers that I haul. (Some shippers secure loads by nailing wooden braces in to the trailer floor. Most delivery locations rarely bother to remove the nails that don't come out on their own during unloading.) This 24" Ripping Bar is just the right length, and the curved claw end provides plenty of leverage for prying stubborn nails out. I wish the chisel end were a little more low profile at the tip (making it easier to raise deeply imbedded nails enough to hook them with the claw end) but I'm not complaining. GREAT TOOL!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ripping Bar does what it's supposed to do Ripping bar does what it's supposed to do - help with demolition work and prying nails out with the claw end. Used it this weekend for prying old shelving units off a wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good purchase Honestly, a ripping bar that doesn't break is about the only requirement here. This thing has been indestructible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC TOOL!!! I bought this Stanley 24" ripping bar because I needed one & it was the least expensive. I didn't know what to expect. I have a physical disability & just tonight, I finished ripping up ALL my old flooring in my diningroom & kitchen BY MYSELF! This tool is not too heavy for me & is SO EASY TO USE! I LOVE IT! GREAT VALUE for how efficient it is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proof a good tool doesn't have to change Simple, straight forward and a monster for wrecking out anything you can think of. This tool is proof that a good, solid tool design never goes out of date. You may see some variations of this tool but the premise never changes. Wreck out a deck with one of these and you will see what a great investment it is.
