Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Prefer the 25ft This is basically the same as its 25 ft cousin. I cant remember a situation where I needed just 5 more feet of tape. Its heavier too, I would suggest to 25 ft version and a reel tape for anything more than that. March 31, 2009
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Same as 25ft, but heavier. Don’t often need just an additional 5ft of tape but it does make my nailbag heavier April 6, 2009
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buy a PowerLock instead I had a Stanley Power Lock (chrome with locking thumb slide) for 20+ years but it finally gave up and plastic wore off the tape, it started rusting and kinked/broke near the end. So I bought an HDX for like two bucks and was utter garbage. Decided to go back to Stanley that served me so well but thought I'd try the LeverLock convenience. It was great for like a week then it started to not grip the tape and would just suck it back in. I bought a two pack with two sizes. Yep, the other one does the same thing- won't stay extended. Holding the tape out to measure things is nearly impossible and frustrating so these went in the trash right behind the last one. Do yourself a favor- buy the good old Power Lock. June 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Tape Measure Ever ....... I'm hooked on the "Leverlock" 30' Tape measure......... I am a Stagehand, and I use my Tape measure all the time, this is about the 4th one I have purchased over a 20 year span....... They last, and are so very easy to use... I prefer the Leverlock because you don't have to "Lock" it in place, just pull it out to measure, and it stays till I squeeze the bottom to retrieve it ..... June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No need to re-invent the wheel The tape is solid as you would expect. I purchased this tape hoping the design would be an improvement from the classic Stanley PowerLock. I had trouble when gripping the tape. I found that I accidentally released the tape on several occasions when holding the unit. Perhaps I just need more practice, but I found myself going back to the old PowerLock and leaving this one in the toolbox most of the time. No problems with the product, I just could not adjust to the new design. May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase for the price. Best purchase for the price and size. Easy to handle and love the lever action for working with large scale projects. The lever action is great for locking and retracting the tape. Easy and light to attach to your belt with the belt clip. Strong durable metal tape stays straight for those one man jobs. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Tool So far this tool has performed as required. I like the lever on the bottom, it always stays pulled out, and then closes easily. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use-good recoil Good tape measure. I have used this several times to verify there is enough space before a major purchase. It was also helpful in a project of putting up mirrors for my home gym. It locked in place when it should have & it recoiled with the easy push of the button. The button is located at the bottom-this seems to be an easy place for it. May 21, 2013
