6 in. Pocket Surform Plane is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful tool I needed to slim down a door that was a little too big for the door jam. This tool has a rasp blade that allows you to scrape off just enough wood, without digging in like a conventional plane might. It is easy to use in any direction, horizontal, vertical and upside down. The only draw back is HD does not carry the replacement blades in the store. When it dulls, only option is to buy a whole new one.

HOWEVER, PRODUCT LACKS USER'S MANUAL, THEREFORE IT GETS ONLY 4 STARS. 2. I USED IT ON ROUGH AND SURFACED LUMBER. IT WORKS GREAT BUT REQUIRES MANY REPETITIVE STROKES ON ROUGH LUMBER. 3. FINE SHAVINGS ACCUMULATE FAST INSIDE THE TOOL AND NEED CONSTANT CLEANING. I USED A THIN BAMBOO SKEWER FOR CLEANING. 4. GREAT FOR CHAMFERING SHARP EDGES. 5. RECOMMEND THIS TOOL TO EVERY DIYER ON A BUDGET AND LACKING ACCESS TO PLANES AND POWER SAWS.

This plane may be good for thin doors but I have an old door and the top of it sticks to the jam when opening and closing.. takes a long time to get it down with this over the older type single blade planes. But I will continue to shave the wood until it closes..
