What are the yellow things for that came with the sawhorses?

Asked by: Meg
Thanks JDM for the part # for these V grooves. I have used a rubber mallet to attach these to the sawhorse. I like that they are a tight fit as plastic will expand over time and become loose.

How do you adjust the height?

Asked by: Ricardo
Hi All, Mine look slightly different than what's pictured. Mine have yellow triangular tabs to set at each height, 30-37" After much fiddling, here's what I found: 1) Close the horse before attempting to adjust. 2) Pop out the yellow tabs. I took mine out completely, with a bit of prying with a strong putty knife. 3) Raise to slightly above the desired height. 4) Open the horse. 5) Push down so the backside ledge settles. (Fiddle slightly with the height until it opens fully.) 6) Insert the tabs at the newly set height. They pop in by hand.

I use these mostly for interior work and painting because they wont scratch floors. I don't use them for a bench I use them for what they are best for ,painting, finish work and trimming doors. Don't use them in cold weather because plastic doesn't hold up in the cold. Not rugged enough for framing. Great for do it yourselfers. They have some great features. Height and width works great. Don't use for P.T. or heavy lumber. Ive had mine over 10 years and love them. I have 2 sets in my shop.

These saw horses are good for DIY; they have an adjustable height and they have width extensions. I did find that they tended to slide when using a skill saw to cut a board; however, a cinder block on the lower shelf solved that problem. Over all a good product, has been very useful and will fold up for easy storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sawhorse Good quality and decent price. My only small gripe is it comes with attachments to hold round or square stock that you slide on ends but you only get one pair of them and no way to attach them to the sawhorse for storage

It's perfect for doors and interior things and some light outdoor projects. I changed every door in my house to 6 panel (17 doors). It is easy to fold up for storage. It has solid construction but I'm not so sure it would hold up to the rigors of "real" construction projects or getting banged around and slammed with heavy lumber.

I've had a set of these for more than ten years when I needed a portable sawhorse to use for the construction of my shed at my townhome. For my initial purpose at a small residence, their lightweight, foldable/portable feature was the deal closer. They have served me well, even when my abuse led to the snapping of the plastic height adjustment tabs which made it nearly impossible to adjust back down. (not really a problem for me since I'm over 6ft tall and never needed to adjust them down from their max height). They are still being used and I often lay an old 3/4" PT 3/4 sheet of plywood on top to convert to a worktable For what they do, it met my expectations, for how long they have lasted me for sometimes heavy use to being left outside for many years, they have exceeded my expectations. Now that I'm in a bigger house, I'm considering buying another set, just to avoid carrying my old set through the house for use in the garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow For years I've been using my truck's tailgate or setting items on blocks of wood to raise off ground. New project required cutting beadboard and I wanted to do a good job. After reading reviews I decided these were pricey but the best. Reviewers were right. These are awesome. I got them home and discovered extra features likes arms extending to 4' and adapters for cutting pipe. I can envision using these a lot now. Easy to fold up and store. Solid construction. Oh yeah, I put down 2 2x4's to brace the flexible beadboard and it made cutting easy. Think my tailgate is relieved I won't be using it to cut things anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used three times These are surprisingly strong and stable saw horses. I have cut sheets of 3/4" plywood on them. Used my clamps to hold 2x4s steady while I cut them with a skill saw. I even clamped my jig saw to them to make a table saw !! ( and it actually worked well). They are not professional grade but excellent for home owner.

The height adjustment is on one side only so the saw horse sits at an ever increasing angle as you raise it. The top does swivel to compensate but it seemed tippy in one direction. I'm a tall guy and want it raised normally.
