I bought the yellow brackets that slip over the saw horses and they have a slot to add a 2x4 when placed horizontally. But there is no apparent way to add my preferred 2x6. How is it done?

Answer:
Push the red rectangular button to release the legs. Then carefully adjust to the height indicated and allow the red button to pop into the designated height. It may seem flimsy but each horse can hold 500 lbs. Need to adjust/open the saw horses slowly. Setting them up hurriedly is not recommended.

Adjustable Sawhorse (2-Pack) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 111.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I purchased these because they were Stanley and easily storable/portable. I am very disappointed in the quality. The plastic hinges constantly disconnect. I thought maybe it was just the set I bought so silly me bought another set (at least they were on sale this time) - same issue. Unfortunately I passed up buying a Stanley tape measure yesterday because I have lost faith in the company/brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stanley adjustable saw horses. Easy to use. Comes with extras and expands. I would recommend to anyone. I have a garage shop and not much room. I unfold these and put a hollow ore door on top and have an instant workbench.

I use these mostly for interior work and painting because they wont scratch floors. I don't use them for a bench I use them for what they are best for ,painting, finish work and trimming doors. Don't use them in cold weather because plastic doesn't hold up in the cold. Not rugged enough for framing. Great for do it yourselfers. They have some great features. Height and width works great. Don't use for P.T. or heavy lumber. Ive had mine over 10 years and love them. I have 2 sets in my shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow For years I've been using my truck's tailgate or setting items on blocks of wood to raise off ground. New project required cutting beadboard and I wanted to do a good job. After reading reviews I decided these were pricey but the best. Reviewers were right. These are awesome. I got them home and discovered extra features likes arms extending to 4' and adapters for cutting pipe. I can envision using these a lot now. Easy to fold up and store. Solid construction. Oh yeah, I put down 2 2x4's to brace the flexible beadboard and it made cutting easy. Think my tailgate is relieved I won't be using it to cut things anymore.

The sawhorses are heavy plastic with multiple adjustments which provide convenience for do-it-yourself work. I question how these would stand up over time to daily use but for occasional use, they work just fine. I typically lay a door slab across two sawhorses as an outside work table. They stand up well to the weight of large portable tools, such as a 10" sliding miter saw, while working off the door slab. I've used one set of sawhorses on several dozen occasions for four years and they are still in good shape. In my experience, the folding platform near the bottom of the legs has separated from the leg a couple of times and is not particularly easy to re-attach, and the feet tend to drop out of the bottom of the legs occasionally. These are not substantial problems but may indicate the quality of the sawhorse as an moderate-use tool and not a heavy-use tool. I have purchased these as gifts so I do recommend them within their limitations.

These saw horses are good for DIY; they have an adjustable height and they have width extensions. I did find that they tended to slide when using a skill saw to cut a board; however, a cinder block on the lower shelf solved that problem. Over all a good product, has been very useful and will fold up for easy storage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product If you are looking for a dependable and easy to use sawhorse this is a very versatile choice. I have 4 of them now and use them in many application. Quality and adjustability is very good and feel solid when standing. Only negative is that they seem to be a little expensive for a sawhorse.

The height adjustment is a valuable addition to these I used them to sand and paint several cabinet doors and feel that they will work for almost all of ones needs for sawhorses.
