Rated 3 out of 5 by Great for small jobs/short term use We bought this prior to investing in a mitre saw to use for small molding jobs around the house. It served it's purpose well, however it's precision gradually declined with use. Where very precise cuts are needed, use the pins included to hold the material in place and go slow! The plastic box does give, and it doesn't take much force to throw the angle off or to cut the plastic itself with the saw. March 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good miter box for the price. You get what you pay for and for the price, this miter box does an excellent job for small jobs. What makes this box superior over the Buck Brothers is the built in honey comb clamps. This feature holds the wood very well and helps in getting clean accurate cuts. I recommend that you use both clamps. Don't think you can get away with using only one and holding the other end. You have two clamps, so use them. It helps a lot. I would have given this box five stars but the saw is too short. It is 12 inches. The Buck Brothers is 14 inches. You could use the two extra inches. But the Buck Brothers does not have the built in clamps and this is why the Stanley is superior. July 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the money spent I am retiring from the military and wanted to build my own shadowbox because I knew how I wanted it. Since most of my tools were packed for the move, I decided to buy the miter box and saw. Was perfect for the job that I needed to do. June 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Inaccurate at best I bought this miter box to cut picture frame corners and was not happy with the results. Not only was it difficult to use, it was inaccurate. The angled grooves that the saw goes into are just wide enough to allow the saw to cut at slightly different angles, so it ends up wobbling a bit if you're not careful. Additionally, the saw ended up cutting into the plastic miter box itself, leaving even more room for error on any new cuts. Overall, this is a cheap solution that will give you poor cuts. I'd hardly call it deluxe. September 16, 2014
