I used this to cut some thin wall aluminum with very good results (Straight Cuts Only). I had to have a miter box that was 3 in. deep and this fit the bill. I really did not need the saw. The 2 black pegs came in handy though. I had to make 2 long straight cuts the width of the miter box and the second one started to chew up some of the plastic. I used a new hacksaw blade. Overall, I am pleased. My project came out good. The price was a bit high though.

Works. I did not use the locking pegs. They damaged the wood quarter round that I was using. It was a lot easier for me to figure out the inner and outer 45 degree quarter round cuts than when I tried using a miter saw. A lot of people recommend securing the miter box to a wood board (2x6), etc so that it is raised off the ground a tad more than without a 2x6. Just remember it is a hand saw, which for me, gets caught in the wood 90% of the time making it so I can only saw in one direction. lol.

I'm not a big woodworker and needed something to help me with a picture frame. This did the job.

The box is super flimsy, luckily I had a friend that was able to lend me his miter saw.

Plastic works for in ground sewer pipe; not the quality of wood or metal, for continuous use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Qwizz220 Great tool for making picture frames
This miter box-saw combo is easy to use, simple and affordable. It's plastic frame is lightweight and will contain the sawdust produced while in use, making it a godsend for living in the small spaces. The slots on both sides of the box allow for the different angled cuts. It's a great tool for making small picture frames.
The price is very reasonable to boot, is actually a fraction of the cost of a powered version. Fits my budget to a T.
