I was wondering if the glue gun was dual temperature?

After looking through the specifics, I could not figure out the temperature of the specific glue gun. Thank You.

No, this model does not have two temperatures.

Can I plug this in a 220 volts? Thanks

Asked by: Marvin
It says 120V so needs a converter like any other 120V appliance needs for a 220V outlet...otherwise it may overheat and/or burn out.

Mini Glue Gun is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trigger does not work I bought this today for a craft project. I put the glue stick in and let it warm up, the trigger does not work at all. The only way to get glue out is by pushing the stick. Returning this tomorrow. Dissatisfied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tiny and Flimsy I got this online, and was not really prepared for just how small it is. It is quite diminutive--would fit in the palm of your hand. In part, that means that its feed rate is really slow--you have to pull the trigger a whole bunch of times to get a large area of glue covered, and by the time you've squeezed out that glue, half of it has cooled and solidified. Maybe it would be useful for gluing really small things one at a time? But even at that, the feeding mechanism is quite flimsy. I found that the trigger only worked for me about 50% of the time, as it often fails to engage the glue stick.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Awkward to Use This is my first use of a glue gun ... so perhaps I'm the problem ... but I was not impressed by this glue gun. A small piece of wood was split from my night stand. Thought this would be a good test of the glue gun. Th instructions said to set the gun at the HOTTEST setting for working with wood. However, though the instructions on the packaging reference this switch, no such switch exists on the glue gun. I inserted a glue strip and waited about 5 minutes for it to heat. While I repeatedly pressed the toggle, no glue came out. I had to use my thumb to push the glue stick thru the gun to get any onto the wood while depressing the toggle. Meanwhile, the toggle throttle became very hot. Either I'm totally incapable, or this glue gun is not very user friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice gun! I have another brand mini glue gun that has many miles on it. The rubber holder that grasp the glue sticks and moves them forward is hard and doesn't advance the stick very good anymore. This is a nice high quality light weight glue gun. It has a nice fold down stand that actually works! It takes about 3 or 4 minutes for the glue to heat up to operating temperature which is OK. The rubber holder is made from a different material than my old one. It is heavier and more pliable so I think it will last a lot longer.

I have owned 3 glue guns in my life so far & I believe the lower ratings of this glue gun are unwarranted as I've always had to push the glue stick in after the gun is warm to get the glue to come out even with a larger more expensive one....that's no big deal. It's a great price and I love the small size for easy storage. Simple & works great!

There is no 'bite' into the stick, and the only way to get the blue to come out is to push another stick in behind it. You'd need three hands to glue anything properly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Handy – When it Works! This compact, lightweight glue gun uses readily available 4” x 0.28” dual temperature glue sticks. It heats up quick enough but there are no indicators to show that the tool is plugged in or ready to start using. The gun has a four foot long power cord and a built in stand at the front of the gun which must be used. If the hot metal nozzle were to touch anything there is a chance the material would scorch or burn. The packaging text and the instruction sheet indicate this adhesive will work on nearly anything and that appears to be true. Over the past couple of weeks, I have glued papers, cards, woods, plastics, fabrics and metals. I have glued multiple pieces of the same and different media together and after drying overnight all the pieces were sturdily fastened together. There is a problem though … The gun consistently fails to deliver the glue when the trigger is pulled. I find myself pushing the glue stick directly into the gun to get the melted glue on to the workpiece. When the trigger does work the delivery is extremely inconsistent delivering a surprise variety of thin wispy strings of glue, big blobs or nothing. This is a real issue when applying glue to a large area because the glue begins to cool and solidify the moment it comes out of the gun and delays caused by the problematic delivery can result in inconsistent areas of adhesiveness. The glue sticks get used up quite quickly so it is a good idea to keep a reasonable stock available. The packets I was using contained 24 4” sticks. So, the gun is not unusable but it does not deliver melted glue via the trigger consistently or deliver the glue in a consistent fashion. For use every few months, and strictly on small jobs, I can put up with this but if I needed to use this tool every day it would frustrate me … A lot!
