Answer:
The Stanley Stapler will accept any brand of Stapler as long as they are Heavy Duty and no bigger than 1/2 inch in size. So therefore it will staple a 7/16, a 3/8, and a 1/2 inch. There maybe another size smaller than half inch that it will staple as well. I use Stanley Staples but it will accept Arrow and Dewalt as well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 65 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SHARPSHOOTER HEAVY-DUTY STAPLE GUN I used this staple gun to replace the upholstery fabric on dining room chairs. The result was meeting my wife's expectations. This gun is easy to use. The cost is low for both the gun and staples. September 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't do what I had hoped PROS: Easy to put in staples, comfortable in hand, economically priced, easily fits a variety of staples. CONS: Not much power behind this, and no indicator on packaging what it would be able to staple into/etc. I bought this with the hope it would be able to put up some screening on old, softer window frames, but it wasn't strong enough, and I ended up having to borrow an air-compressor driven stapler. Likely no fault of the product, but I wish there was some information about what all it could do. I'll keep it, because at this point it would be more of a hassle to take back. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by User Friendly I recently used this product out in the garden to fasten fabric to a rubber divider. I did not even have to read the instructions in order to operate it. Loading the gun was very similar to a regular office staple machine and I was able to get the job done seamlessly. Great buy. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Staple gun I have had a few guns for home DIY, the sharpshooter is a strong easy to use stapler that I would recommend. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not so good I bought this for a roof repair and ended up returning it for a better more adequate one June 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Waste Your Time I purchased this staple gun for a single weekend project. By the end of the project I put in around 1,500 staples, and the staple gun stopped working 3/4 of the way through. It had issues recognizing the staple size, and wouldn't release a staple consistently (I was using Stanley 1/4 staples). Very frustrating. The 4 screws holding the staple gun together also came loose which required a star-head screwdriver bit to tighten. This was also a pain since I don't own that size bit. I recommend spending the extra $10 and purchasing a higher end staple gun. I will be bringing this back to Home Depot today to get my money back. A staple gun should last longer than a single project! April 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Was not satisfied This product was not as strong or powerful for the task that it was purchased for. Each staple also have an indentation making them like arches. I had to purchase another brand. June 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NOT MADE FOR WEAKER HANDS We could not use it because it was too stiff to operate for our ladies and their smaller hands. It works for the men but then it does not have the extras like the belt clip. May 3, 2016
