Answer:
The Stanley Stapler will accept any brand of Stapler as long as they are Heavy Duty and no bigger than 1/2 inch in size. So therefore it will staple a 7/16, a 3/8, and a 1/2 inch. There maybe another size smaller than half inch that it will staple as well. I use Stanley Staples but it will accept Arrow and Dewalt as well.

SharpShooter Heavy-Duty Staple Gun is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gun This product seems as though is it light duty as it is lightweight and plastic. Don't be fooled though, as this staple gun penetrated my wood door without any difficulty. The staples went all the way down with ease. Just know that you have to let the trigger release all the way to load the next staple. Was hard for me to use the gun with one hand only as the staple wouldn't load every time because my hand weren't big enough to allow for the trigger to release enough to load the staple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent stapler! I had an electric stapler from HF and it was terrible. Tried the Dewalt thinking that all my Dewalt tools are excellent but nope that mis-fired and jammed too often. Tried the cheaper Stanley and that wasn't any good either and not enough power. This one is excellent! Handles my 1/2 staples no problem! Did a basement installing installation and worked like a charm. Also, the loading of staples is so easy compared to other brands. The push mechanism doesn't come out so you don't eventually end up losing it, and whole size staple "bundles" fit in so you don't have to break the staples apart to fit them in. Glad I bought it!

The Stanley Sharp Shooter is good medium duty staple gun and is very well made. I used it to staple insulation batts to rafters while insulating my bedroom after we had the ceiling fall down. It worked very well in any position that it needed to be held in to accomplish this task..

Ran an entire 1000 package of staples through it without a jam. Before this stapler I purchased staplers at twice the price that jammed or broke completely. I was able to finish my job quickly with this one, while others held me up.

It was basically same price as the Arrow brand hanging beside it, but appeared better built. Staples were same price, so these two were easily compared. I love the Stanley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SHARPSHOOTER HEAVY-DUTY STAPLE GUN I used this staple gun to replace the upholstery fabric on dining room chairs. The result was meeting my wife's expectations. This gun is easy to use. The cost is low for both the gun and staples.

This works great, tho does require a fair amount of hand strength and positioning the pressure. It took some getting used to but it does work great. My smaller hands just made it harder.
