Compare this to others that charge up to $14.00 for essentially the same tool.....everyone can use at least one stubby ratcheting screwdriver.....

I bought this at the same time I bought the Irwin stubby. My thought was to settle on the one I liked best, but ultimately I decided to keep both. This one is a little taller and thinner than the Irwin, but the ratchet drive on it made it a keeper.
The handle on this stubby is about average size for a stubby driver. The Irwin is a fatty so there is a noticeable difference. Instead of being round, it's got a rounded triangular shape. The shape helps provide leverage and ergonomics, and the coating provides solid grip.
Between the handle and shaft is the ratchet selector. It's pretty stiff providing a nice feel when spinning it between on, off, and locked. The stiffness of switching it doesn't make it difficult, but, instead, adds a nice solid feel to the motion. The ratchet drive itself is about average. It's not loose like some cheaper ratchets, but it's not super fine like your more expensive ones; it fits right in the middle. I found the action of the ratchet to be comfortable and sufficient, assisting with tightening and loosening screws, making up for the handle size difference compared to the Irwin.
This stubby only comes with the standard flat and philips bits, and they are stored in the handle. The friction fit of them in the lid is pretty stiff and requires a good amount of work to get them out. After several uses, the spaces haven't loosened up where they are falling out in the handle, but it still very stiff and difficult to remove them. The cavity in the handle the bits are stored in is quite large so you might even be able to fit a torx bit or something else in there.
The height of this stubby is a small downfall in it's design, but the ratchet more than makes up for it. While it won't fit in the super-tight spaces that the shorter Irwin stubby will, the effort required on screws for this is low. With a solid build, nice features, and good price, it's a great buy.

Was going to give it 5 stars, but when you select 5 stars in the review, it only gives 3. A well made and handy screwdriver to have around the house. I got another one to use at work when I have to assemble furniture.
Great value for the money.

People gave 5 stars?? Really?I thought I had got a winner. It is like something I could get at harbor freight for 2 bucks. It works no doubt about it but keeping it in my toolbox, no. Made in Vietnam! go figure. Even the Chinese stuff got the solid feel in your hand.and work great.
I returned it and pay a few more dollars for a Milwaukee ratcheting stubby. That is a tool!
